Romney is running on a conservative platform, has conservative support, will be beholding to conservatives and therefore is going to have to govern that way, or risk his second term. Thats the way it works and most people seem to understand that.
That is one of the most naive statements I've seen on FR in a long time. And there have been some doozies lately.
You're talking about a guy who appointed 75% Democrats or Democrat leaners to the bench in MA while governor, including homo-marriage advocates. He has never been beholden to conservatives and is not about to start now. What he is, though, is an expert at advancing liberalism on the sly, while appearing to be a conservative.
Pray he loses next week. At least with McCain, he'll probably only serve one term. Obama is likely to be there for two.

(I won't flip for Mitt. I won't follow McCain down the drain. So I'm stuck with Huck!)

Obama is likely to be there for two.History says that whoever wins this year is likely to be a one-termer. The last time the country hd three consecutive two-term Presidents their names were Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe.
