I digress with Lloyd Greif - Why was mcCain passed over for Admiral?

The Navy he resigned from when Reagan was rebuilding the military thought he should not be promoted above Capitan.

I thank him for his service but the man has his limitations.

In my opinion, Senator McCain is utterly clueless with respect to defeating the terrorist threat. His rhetoric will only help them recruit. McCain's folly could lead to virtually endless war and bankruptcy.

Last night's debate showed him gravitating towards the image of a pig-headed old fool, trying to make himself seem far more relevant than he is. His heroism 40 years ago does not make him an expert on foreign policy, nor on economics. And a simple look at the map, for anyone with a knowledge of history, makes his hyperbole on the importance of the post-war situation in Iraq seem totally ridiculous.

By the way, calling Islamic fanatics, who engage in international crime, "fascists," suggests that you do not understand fascism, which was a secular totalitarian Italian movement growing out of European Socialism, but gravitating back towards the center to gather business and other support, among those ordinarily more moderate or conservative in their orientation. (Mussolini had originally been the fair-haired boy of Italian Socialist, but turned on the Marxists to found his own collectivist movement.)

He’s a phony warrior in the war on terror. Beating the drum for more Americans to die at the hands of muzzies in foreign lands while doing his best to keep the borders of the homeland wide open for any foe who chooses to enter. He also wants to bring the terrorists on to American soil so they can lawyer up and have access to all the resources of the ACLU. He also wants to limit the ability to interrogate terrorists even if it costs American lives.

“More, how can Americans take a leader seriously about this war when it’s not serious enough to secure our borders?”

I agree. Open borders and Z visas with a 24 hour maximum time limit for background checks tells me he has absolutely no concern for security.

I actually see the 12 to 30 million illegal aliens as the biggest threat to this country, not the ragheads that want to blow up things.

McCain is a fraud and an opportunist, in addition to being a nasty, vindictive man.
