With my first picks out of the race (Hunter & Thompson) the remaining choices are disheartening. I don't trust Huckabee any more than I do Romney, but at least Romney has a fighting chance at winning the nomination - Huck doesn't.

We have to be realistic here.

I think Huck NOT winning the nomination is the point. Support him enough to keep all of them from winning the nomination. Then on to a brokered convention.

” (Hunter & Thompson)”

This sounds like fear and loathing on the campaign trail. Is this Gonzo? (grin)

I think that’s the very point the writer is making! Our best bet is that Huck will get enough support to keep either of the other two from getting enough to sew it up. Getting to the convention without a winner would the best thing that could happen for those of us who are so very unhappy with where we find ourselves.

An open convention could give us back any of those who have dropped out to this point.

The convention is still a long way off as political things go. A lot could change between now and then, plus we could know a whole lot more about the various people who might be nominated.
