Sorry I can’t vote for someone that follows the law. (/sarcasm)
Good catch.
Why do you think Romney only got a legal opinion saying Catholic hospitals couldn't be exempt ONLY AFTER being criticized by his liberal Lt Gov and the Boston Globe?
If he was trying to follow the law, he would have consulted a lawyer before promising Catholic hospitals they could be exempt. In fact, don't you think it's likely that he did consult his lawyer beforehand and was assured they could be exempt?
Instead, he hid behind his lawyer's new legal opinion - which differed from the legal opinion of the Catholic hospitals' laywers - in order to provide cover for his broken promise and surrender to the liberal media.

Curiously, earlier in the same week, Romney said Catholic hospitals WERE exempt under Mass law.
His Health Dept. lawyers said they WERE exempt under Mass law.
Then, whaddaya know, the pro-abort groups and his own lt. gov. objected to his letting Catholic hospitals follow their own consciences on the issue...and wa-la, Romney flip-flopped on both the law and his position.
(Among a cavalcade of flip-flops, this was perhaps Romney quickest flip-flops, all within one week.
Go back and listen to the radio report in post #1.
And Mass Catholic Conference attorneys disputed Romney’s allegation of what the “law” was. No doubt for Romneyphiles, that makes MCC’s pro-life credentials suspect.
