He should apologize to the citizens for the sad state that a once great city is in.In a perfect world, this sort of event would trigger a voter backlash as the people rise up and throw all the incompetent and corrupt bums out of office. Unfortunately, in Detroit, most of the smart people moved to the suburbs over the last 4 decades.

I know he’s a Democrat b/c it’s Detroit, but you can also know he’s a Democrat because the story does not mention in the headline or any of the first sets of paragraphs what his political party is.
