There’s a local hardware chain, Orchard Supply Hardware, that sells Craftsman tools. Others could do the same. The brand name must be worth millions as an asset, if Sears falters or fails.

I’ve always liked their tools and never understood why Craftsman wasn’t sold through auto parts houses. I suppose Sears believed the name and guarantee would draw folks in for other things they had in the store.
