Huckabee says his GOP presidential bid isn't on the ropes

Nope, it's lying on the canvas with the referee up to 8.

HUCKABEE/HUNTER '08

Huckabee and Hunter where on the same page in every debate they where in together. Huckabee and Hunter come from the same conservative philosophical mold with the same foundational beliefs.

Duncan Video: Hunter/Huckabee stand up to Clinton/Corrupt News Network plant/Romney flip-flops on gays in military

Video Huckabee: There is nothing funny about President Hillary Clinton/We cannot be soft we must be strong and defeat Islamic fascism

Huckabee: Congress spends like Edwards at a beauty shop

Duncan Hunter: “I got to know Governor Huckabee well on the campaign trail,” said Hunter. “Of the remaining candidates I feel that he is strongly committed to strengthening national defense, constructing the border fence and meeting the challenge of China’s emergence as a military superpower that is taking large portions of America‚s industrial base.”

“Along with these issues of national security, border enforcement and protecting the U.S. industrial base, I see another quality of Mike Huckabee’s candidacy that compels my endorsement. Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity. I saw that character over the last year of campaigning and was greatly impressed. The other Republican candidates have many strengths and I wish them all well. My personal choice is Mike Huckabee,” Hunter concluded.

HUCKABEE only mentioned one person for Secretary of Defense, DUNCAN HUNTER:
‘‘What you do,’’ he [Huckabee]explained, 'is surround yourself with the best possible advice.’ The only name he [Huckabee] mentioned was Representative Duncan Hunter of California. ‘Duncan is extraordinarily well qualified to be secretary of Defense,’ he [Huckabee] said.

Hunter undoubtedly had a closer look at Huckabee than conservative media commentators who have never met Huckabee or people commenting on a forum who have never bothered to research original sources or take a close look at what Huckabee actually says rather than what others are saying about him.

Duncan Hunter: His [Mitt Romney] company Bain Capital, is partnering with a Chinese company, a Chinese defense contractor, called the Wah-Way corporation, which helped Saddam Hussein set up his air defenses against American pilots, and Bane Capital is partnering with that outlawed Chinese defense contractor to buy an American defense contractor. You may know about that proposed deal, it's right now before the commitee on foreign investment... Duncan Hunter: I think its a security problem, and I think it is a real disservice to... Americans. I think Mitt Romney is a NO GO for that reason alone.....I like Mike Huckabee's integrity, I stood next to him in a lot of debates...

How nice of him not to say anything negative about McQueeg. What a swell guy. What a good Christian.

This guy’s almost as big a POS as Queeg. I can’t believe Hunter endorsed this lying sack.

Funny how all of Huck’s verbal shots are directed at Romney and none at the frontrunner McCain. Hmmm, seems like an odd way to stay in the race...

There's a saying in the South: 'It ain't the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog,'" Huckabee said.

And we have a saying in the North: Fuhgeddaboudit!

Given that Huckabee is ahead or tied in more Super Tuesday states than Romney, he probably has as better chance than Willard does.

Why isn't the question being asked if Romney is still viable? Willard has no or little chance in any of big liberal states. He seemingly has less of a chance of winning southern states than Huckabee or McCain.

Other than Massachusetts, Utah and Colorado, is there really a state Flip can win in?

"he dismissed suggestions that his candidacy could split the conservative vote and help rival Sen. John McCain. "

I can't believe the conservative vote would go for a liberal mormon like Romney in the first place, so I think Huckabee is right. He's not hurting Romney, he's probably hurting McCain, if anybody.

He said he would focus his campaign on Southern states that are slated for the Tuesday round of primaries.

“Those are all states where we believe we are not only in play, but we are poised to win,” he said.

Huckabee will win GA, AL, MS, TN, AR, MO.
Huckabee will be competitive in NC, KY, OH, KS, OK, NE, IN, WI

Where were all the Freepers when Thompson was helping McCain clean up in South Carolina?

Huckabee is the only conservative left. I’ll stand with him over flip-flop and Captain Queeg.

He also said the WMDs went to *Jordan*.

But here’s the thing, the front-runner is McCain and yet he says ...

“If the true conservatives are looking for a true conservative, they’ll pick me. Romney’s record is not a conservative record, his rhetoric is not conservative, even with what he’s said and done,” Huckabee said.

THE GUY IS RUNNING AGAINST ROMNEY! Usually, when you are serious about going after the nomination you go after the frontrunner - not Huckster. No sirree. Cant do that. Folks, HE’S A RINGER FOR MCCAIN. A stalking horse.

He took out Thompson (in Iowa, we just didnt notice until SC), and now wants to take out Romney on Feb 5.

Even the media is open about it .... “Huckabee could draw votes from Mitt Romney because of his strong support among the religious right - a possible boost for McCain.” ...

Hand the nomination to McCain. The conservatives have been had!
