“How anyone can use the word ‘character’ to describe this unstable, petty, corrupt, back-stabbing, First Amendment shredding, left-wing, no-borders rat defies all logic and reason. He’s the death of the Republican Party. And quite frankly, the party deserves its fate for even thinking about nominating this awful, wretched man.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

It’s the exact same forms you idiot, it gets electronically filed and an approval or disapproval comes back. I am talking about purchasing a firearm from a LICENSED dealer, I am not talking about a private sale where the legality has long been questionable.

Virginia Law: Federal and Virginia laws require licensed gun dealers to screen customers through instant background checks. Felons, mentally ill people and domestic abusers are barred from buying firearms. But the state does not require background checks for people who buy guns in private sales at gun shows.

ANYONE can go to trade, buy and sell firearms at a gun show! Auctions here do not require the seller to be "a licensed gun dealer" and neither do shows. That is my point!

Under current law, it is illegal for an unlicensed dealer to sell firearms anywhere. Therefore, "privately selling or trading" without a federal license is already a crime.

It isn't here...check out the links!

Better than I thought.

However, going with the globalists could wipe such numbers out as meaningless distinctions, imho.

It is a federal law, and it applied to all dealers in all states.

Dealers don’t sell privately... if they do, it’s a crime.

Citizens sell and trade privately. Just as someone who sells a used car in the classifieds isn’t a “used car dealer”, someone who privately sells or trades a firearm is not a “firearms dealer”. Of course, the next thing we’ll be hearing about is closing the “private sale loophole”. And I’m sure we’ll have some politician propping himself up over the dead bodies at the next massacre to make the case for doing it.

Of course, you know all of this. You’re carefully choosing misleading links and talking points that avoid the facts. Because you’re working for a man who does the same.

I would compare Huckabee to Perot in this case. Clinton won by dividing his opponents, so has McCain. Now think, how can McCain win the general election when most of his support will really vote Democrat, and conservatives will not support him in the campaign, and will only tepidly choose him on election day? And you know many will simply stay home, despite the fact that they are hurting themselves, and playing into Hillary’s hands. McCain = President Hillary.

The law makes a distinction between “private transactions” and “dealers”.

You don’t think it should?

How about if I want to give one of my firearms to my brother? My best friend? Will it to my children? Should the government require me to run a background check on them first?

You’re already beyond the “gun show loophole” lie, and into “private sale loophole” territory. Which is the end of gun ownership in America as we know it.

Which is exactly what your masters are angling for.

I suppose we’ll just have to respectfully agree to disagree here without being disagreable...You believe your position right and I know mine to be!

Cheap way to get the last word. Why not answer the question? Should all private transactions involving firearms be subjected to government regulation?

McCain’s victory had nothing to do with character, and everything to do with voter stupidity.

The bill here in Virginia (defeated by lawmakers last week) would have not private sales without background checks, however, (and I believe I’m correct on this) transfers between relatives would be okay. Personally, as I said to you before, I don’t have a problem with you selling a firearm to friends whom you know to be of good character and non-felons...I do have a problem with felons having firearms (I think you’ll agree with me on that point). And the devil is in the details about how to keep them from such ownership ... Again, I do not have a problem with private dealings between individuals who know something about one another but I do when it comes to sales to just anyone off the street. I don’t know how the law works in your state but I am very familiar with how it works here.

I wouldn’t characterize McCain as a winner, per se. I see next Fall being a competition between Dumb and Dumberer. Whomever the Dems inflict upon us is Dumberer. McCain is dumb. Dumb is not as stupid as Dumberer. Ergo, I hold my nose and vote GOP.

Not me. I won't vote for McMecha under any circumstances. I would rather have a Dem ruin the nation, than to have it destroyed by a Republican and have us get the blame. Both McMecha and Clinton are open borders advocates and are both owned by the Chicoms, lock, stock, and barrel.

That is a kooknut web site run by Ted Sampley...Mr. Sampley, BTW, believes ardently that there are still POWs in ‘Nam who are beaten daily by the commies just for the sport of it.

I’ll vote for McLame if he’s the nominee, but I won’t be happy about it. It will just be a vote against the RAT candidate.

Sampley doesn't sound like a nut to me. Sounds more like a patriot. What is your beef with him meandog? Was there something in that website that you feel is untrue about McCain? I have read other places that McCain was not a very good pilot and probably was the reason he got shot down.
