Another silver for Mitt. If Florida was like the other states and not winner take all, Romney would still be the delegate leader. As it stands:
Delegate Count: McCain 97, Romney 74 (1,191 needed to win-2169 delegates left to be selected after today)

Yeah, me too. I am glad he’s not out as it was close. There may be a lot of close wins and losses coming. I don’t think it’s a given that McCain wins, and Romney should go and stick it out. He could wind up with the most delegates.

Great. Perhaps the rest of America is more well informed than Florida. McCain/Hillary - watch out!

This is like 1976 - Romney is Reagan, and McCain is Ford.
In 1976, Reagan lost the early states, but gathered steam and started winning and brought it to the convention.
Romney got 31% in NH, 39% in MI and 31% in FL. He has been competitive and close in more states than MCCain, who ran nowhere in WY and NV and 3rd in Iowa.

We feel as though the conservatives are starting to rally around Mitt," she said, as her husband stood beside her. "This is just a send-off point; this is not an end. It's another beginning. We have 22 more states to go after, and we will be able to do that."
Wife Ann is correct. And if nothing else, Mitt's continued presence in the race will anchor McCain to his party.

Keep fighting Mitt.....we got Freepers all across the country hanging in with ya.... don’t ever return to any leftist policies.... your wife would make an excellent first lady just like Laura Bush.

Mitt Romney is the anti-McCain. Anyone who does not want John McCain to be the GOP nominee must now rally behind Romney for President.

I do not get the delegate count this story talks about when these are the “official” numbers:
Magic Number 1,191
McCain
97
Romney
74
Huckabee
29
Paul
6
Giuliani
2

Give it up Mitt. The other liberal won. You endorsed all his liberal positions before you decided to run for president anyway.
