Now that the Sunshine has set, two old friends come to an understanding.

McCain topper Rick Davis quietly negotiated the agreement.

HALPERIN’S TAKE: 10 things Giuliani could have done differently.

Giuliani, in Florida concession speech, talked about his effort in the past tense, but said nothing explicit about dropping out — or The Deal.

But he’ll waste his Soros money anyway staying in the race.

Ignorant comments such as this is why I'm glad I'm not wringing my hands and worrying about trying to pick the "better" of the remaining RINOs.

I'm confident that my vote will go to a pro-Constitutionalist who received all of his money from ordinary Americans not corporate/lobbyist hacks like the other candidates BTW who is the REAL uniter in the GOP. Dr. Paul is still in the race while bigger names like Rudy and Fred are not. BWHAHAHAHAHA!

As I said on another thread, I see little difference between McCain and Romney

I feel the same way and I'll vote for either one with as much enthusiasm as I can muster in the general. I'll still probably vote for Mitt in the primary but I don't have any great love for him and I don't have any great loathing for McCain.

I didn't think Thompson was any great conservative either. He talked it but I didn't trust him to walk it.

The only real conservative was Hunter. Maybe Paul, but he was too conservative.

Agreed...I can’t believe that the GOP is about to nominate John Kerry’s first choice for running mate in 04.

Tell me again why John McCain is a good bet to beat Hillary???

We’re looking at a President Obama come next year. Who would have ever thought such a thing.

I would have laughed at you last year...not now.

I think they are jealous of his #1 his money, #2 his intelligence, and #3 his good looks.

Also, I've not heard any problems in his marriage (singular) or personal life.

I don't trust him on anything either....Well, I DO trust him on supporting our military and fighting the WOT.

On all other issues--I trust him much, MUCH more than Slick Hillie or Obama.

“Simply put: Its their very rational sense of being betrayed. Big time, betrayed.”

Fred didn’t betray them ...

The thousands of Huckabee and McCain voters in Iowa, NH, SC and Florida are the ones who did the betraying.

THE COUNTRY’S #1 RINO, JOHN MCCAIN, HAS BEEN DELIVERED AS OUR FRONTRUNNER. If John McCain wins, the conservatives will have no real candidate for President.

the only good news here is that the race is down to Romney and McCain. Of those two the clearly best choice is Romney, hands down. Even just immigration is enough of a reason for that.

Let’s put it this way,

In the near future, you have our president looking across the table into the eyes of Putin about potential conflict on the Kosovo independence crisis. Who do you want as president? McCain, or Hillary. Because thats who the nominees are going to be.

You are spot on. This is all primary squabble. Once the reality that Hillary could actually be POTUS/CIC, most, not all, the McCain haters will rally. That’s just my prediction.

Even Rush will tone it down...

Thank God and Greyhound he’s gone.

That is the best news, isn't it, Jim? We will never have to worry about the phrase, "President Giuliani" in our lifetimes. I will feel so much better when the same can be said for "President Rodham".

Maybe next Tuesday night? Or am I hoping for too much?

How long do I have to come up with something?

I know now how my Black friend felt when I asked, "What have the Clintons ever done for Blacks?" The answer I got was laughter!

Seeing how Rudi’s been wrong about everything in the primaries so far, I do take some comfort.
