There’s not much difference but I’ll have to vote for McCain. There have been to many die for my right to vote just to sit at home and not go to the polls. We are in for some bad times boys and girls.

For the 3rd party folks and the write in or stay at homes:

1992 - Clinton wins because Ross Perot siphons enough votes away from George Sr. to hand the election to Clinton.

8 years of Clinton hatred of all things military and American.

9/11 happens less than 8 months after Clinton leaves office.

What if....George Sr. wins in '92. Would Bin Laden have been free to plan the hijackings? The choice has huge consequences people, please take it seriously in November. Joke or express frustration now, do the right thing in 9 months.

I roomed with another guy for about one month when I first got out of the USAF; we grew green hair on spaghetti because we couldn’t agree on whose night it was to do the dishes.

I moved out after that and didn’t eat spaghetti for years.

The RNC called me for money this summer and I told them NO!. I was polite but just said that the GOP was fielding a bunch of anti-gun, pro-Abortion, idiots that had contempt for conservative values. The lady simply asked if I had switched parties and I told her no. I told her that I was still a conservative, God loving Christian who values Life and our bill of rights and would not vote for anyone that goes along with killing children or attacking our first and second amendment rights. She ended up asking me again for money to continue supporting those values and I told her that I was going to wait to see if our candidate was worthy of my money. Glad I didn’t send it now. The McCainiac is a RINO idiot.

It is too painful to think about. At the rate republicans are droping out all over the place both for house and senate. I see this country going all demoncrat in November with or without McNuts! It would take every ounce of strength to vote for that traditor. I just don’t think I have it in me!

I'm not mad at Tancredo for his endorsement of Romney anymore, that is for sure.

Anyway, a vote for the left-wing-media-adored McCain is a vote for the third-world takeover of America, ushered in with a "Republican" at the helm, no less. He is willing to spend hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of lives to defend the sovereignty of Iraq for centuries, but is unwilling to defend the sovereignty of America right now, even for a tiny fraction of the cost.

He is bought and sold on global warming, is against drilling in ANWR, has distaste for the first amendment, hates evangelicals and the "religious-right", likes high taxes (was against the Bush tax cut, is against cutting the death tax), acts in favor to federalize private industries...being on the wrong side of BOTH Focus on the Family and the Club for Growth kicks out two legs of the Republican three-legged stool. Hell, he only manages to garner a C+ rating from the NRA, and a whopping F- on 2A from the GOA (http://gunowners.org/pres08/mccain.htm).

What makes McCain especially dangerous - in addition to his continued left-ward drift with age, is that he will have willing allies among the bulk of Democrats, in addition to all left-wing and "centrist" Republicans. His left-wing policy overtures (of which there will be MANY) will have no bloc strong enough for any resistance. In the name of "bipartisanship", he will refuse to veto Democrat-pushed legislation that lands on his desk. THIS MAKES MCCAIN WORSE THAN A DEMOCRAT. The bulk of Republicans in Congress would vote against Hillary/Obama as a matter of partisanship at the very least.

And no, no number of camel-raping paleolithics rattling their sabers will ever be enough to scare me into voting for McCain.

“The McCainiac is a RINO idiot.”

He is.. and is too stupid to know that the same MSM that he sucks up to will turn on him in favor of Hillary and Obama.

Well......this thread is certainly depressing. I think I’ll go read about Iranian nutcases with nukes and al-Qaida riots in Pakistan.

If McCain or Hillary is elected, please destroy all Freeper data.

It will be handed over to the IRS for audit material.

After McCain or Hillary, around 2016, maybe someone can start a new Freeper website when its not outlawed.

Let’s think about it. In 1992 we had an incumbent president and we didn’t have the internet blogs.

I do believe a revolt could be an ORGANIZED mass 3rd party write in candidate. I won’t do it though unless planned in advanced.

Let’s just say, we start a month before the general. Pick a day...if you are willing to write in Thompson drive with your lights on and see the results. We see who on which day who makes the brightest impact, and vote accordingly.

Just a suggestion on a grass roots level.

How could someone vote to bestow American citizenship on illegal-alien felons, and still be a “fine man”?

Aside from being a war hero, he's got adopted kids. One of his natural children is serving in Iraq. I didn't know that until recently.

His position on illegal immigration is a political stance, and I disagree with him strongly there.

No way will I vote for McCain. The thought of him makes me almost as ill as a Dem. He represents the establishment that is turning so many off. The only thing he has going with me is his pro life record. Period. I don't know what I'll do.

I hope this is a fair question. Does this group tend to be a little right of right compared to the Republicans like in my flyover country that don't hang out here? That's kind of how I see it, and what we think doesn't seem to carry all that much weight, although kudos to some FReepers who have really worked their tails off and the ones who are supportive of my general conservative values.

Now this is the female in me coming out, and it isn't just this because there are negatives. I think Mitt is so strikingly handsome that I would love to see him get more facetime and respect on tv and have Americans get a better chance to see what he is about, myself included. I wonder what's in this for him. Utah is a pretty safe place to live; he has enough money to retire and live the good life. Why this? For his church? For his country? To try to make a difference? The challenge? For power? Any combination of those?

LOL..that pic never fails to make me laugh!! Thanks for posting it. I will hold my nose and vote for McLame. Although there is a bit of sad truth to the idea of letting the dems run the country into the pits for a few years and getting it back from the ruins in 2012.

Since holding my nose won’t be enough, I’ll go to full MOPP level 4 and vote for McCain if it looks like Ohio will be close. If Ohio doesn’t look close either way I’ll vote third party.

Don’t worry about it. The Mayan calendar says it’s all over in 2012.
