Lol....I’ve always said “drinking and driving is dangerous, but drinking and voting is much worse...”

Now I don’t remember which of the alternatives I voted for—pray, write-in, third party, stay home, or what—but it sure wasn’t McCain.

Hillary.
Ridding the Republican Party of McCain’s leadership is job one. Only a humiliating defeat can do that. The GOP can soon be a conservative party again if it nominates McCain and loses. If McCain wins conservatives will be politically homeless for the foreseeable future. Conservatism will be back where it was in 1940 and there will be no clear road out of the wilderness.

He needs to pick a worthy VP to motivate me. I will vote for McCain because he will do more right for us than the other option. I will not donate, nor will I be likely to get out to campaign like I did for President Bush.

Let’s see; do I give up my left kidney or my right kidney? Some choice.
To: Jim Robinson
Depends on the VP whether I would vote for McCain or not vote.

McCain will NEVER get my vote.
I will write someone in. The Republicans are proving that they no longer are the party home of conservatives.

McCain in a nose-holder for me. He's good for the WoT, more reliably pro-life than Flip Romney. That's about all I can say for him. I chalk up most of his intransigence over the past 8 years to his personal problems with President Bush, and in retrospect, he may not have been wrong every time.
We're going to have to apply the heat to him repeatedly, I fear, to keep him from going off the rails, though.
The good news is he's probably only a 1 termer.

Sadly, that may be the way to look at it this time around...

In a way I guess it will be a blessing if McCain gets the nomination. As soon as he does I can just tune out politics and just go fishing to try and stay oblivious to the decaying society around me. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

I think McCain is more dangerous. Hillary will have a hard time getting all of her ilk on the left side of the isle to go along with her anit-gun, anti-life, and anti-business shananigans. Ther3e are several Democrats that are somewhat conservative. McCain would get about half of the pubbies and half of the nut-job lefties to go along with his insane plans. Higher taxes, clamp down on free speech, and amnesty for all that want it. I would vote Hillary before McCain.

This thread reminds me of a thread you put out once that asked the question ‘Is Conservatism Dead?’ or a similar title.

Truth be told, at 72, he’s probably had a few mini strokes already.
Just look at him in the last debate .... he’s losing his faculties.
We are Looking at a Hillary Clinton win if he doesn't go down before the convention.

Because Hunter has surrendered his precarious position, I have decided to write in Theodore Roosevelt in the California primary and general elections on the Republican ballot.
