But Romney does (have $$$) ... problem is that he
1) unelectable
2) a flop flopper
3) a liberal based on his RECORD
Romney can buy the primaries! How can beat Hillary in Nov.
Romney vs. Hillary ... Hillary in a landslide (and that will trickle down to all the other races as well)

yes there is no question that if romney really was the "real thing" he would have won. He had the money, the drive and the conservative talking points but nobody trusts him on anything. That's what the freepers don't understand...well I think maybe they do understand but this campaign is really hard on us conservatives.

I, “yield 2 the right” will officially become a Democrat...
If you can not have a real conservative candidate you might as well change over to the other side.....

I will do a writ-in vote for Thomas Jefferson, if McCain wins the primary.
Our nation would be fortunate to have another Thomas Jefferson as President.
To: jveritas
Hickabee will help attract the “Christian Right” to the ticket and keep them from staying home.
However, I imagine that McCain hates Hickabee.

Congratulations. I only have three words for the McCain supporters. Campaign finance reform. (I actually have three other words, but they would get pulled by the mods.)
I am registered Rep in NY, so I'll pull the lever for Romney, but who knows what good it will do.

Dole won the Florida primary in 1996 with 56.9%. McCain is toast. Dole was barely opposed in 1996 except by Pat Buchanan.

What ticks off conservatives is that McCain has made a career of stabbing his fellow conservatives in the back at crucial moments:
Last week he called on Romney to "apologize to the troops" because he was slightly less enthusiastic about the Surge last spring (though he DID support the Surge). But you will NEVER EVER EVER hear McCain saying Murtha or Kerry or Kennedy should apologize to the troops. McCain often votes GOP, but he's always sucking up to the Dems while dissing his own party. That's why the liberal press so adores him.

McCain has just won the nomination.
Rudy’s out.
Huckabee can only win a couple states in the south after coming in 4th in florida and being unable to reach out to anyone else but evangelicals.
Romney will have to continue to assess how much of his fortune he is willing to spend. The Anti-McCain vote will coalesce around him but with super tuesday a week away it’s not going to get the job done I don’t think.
Ron Paul is...well....Ron Paul.
So there you have it. John has been waiting in the bushes (heh) for 8 years...it’s his time now.
Out of all the rino candidates we have had to put up with, McCain is really not that much worse. We have a strong leader, who sees the importance of the GWOT, with strong convictions and an ability to win over independents. We really cannot do much better than that with the field we have been given.

Enjoy your moment. You will never see McCain as president and when the dims get in, you will lose your country. The Romney Sleaze Machine fueled that locomotive and set it off into the mountains.

PALM BEACH COUNTY IS NOT REPORTING ABSENTEE OR EARLY BALLOTS IN THEIR RESULTSPalm Beach is home of Rush Limbaugh and, despite his daily 3-hour attack ad on John McCain (incidentally CFR free ad time for Mitt), he must be eating his heart out tonight.

I think the open borders crowd at the RNC rigged the primaries for McNut and the Rats took away delegates so many in Fl would change registration to vote for McCain.Exactly...
To: Petronski
My prayers were answered on that score!
All the arguing that happened here at FR because of that cross-dressing fool.
Thank God he is DONE!
To: restornu
Sadly, Rudy is not sucking votes from Romney, probably more from McCain, and Rudy will likely endorse McCain.
