You put your finger on something that will be very evident next Tuesday. There has been a psychological projection of: "identity politics"
IOW: The whole country hates hicks so there is no why a Bible Belt guy from the Boondocks can possibly win the the general. That's the impression I got. How are we folks in Southern fly-over country supposed to react to that?
What kind of political buffoon forgets that: "All politics is local"?
"A Southern man don't need him around anyhow" - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Another interesting conundrum: How do the Republicans expect to win with a Pro-Choice, Anti-2a candidate? How will they possibly take the South, West and the Southwest with such?
I am no Huck fan, but at the least he has not betrayed these two very basic principles. All the rest have.
Oh, pu-leeeze.
Your musings are getting sillier and sillier.
Last time I checked, Fred Thompson was a southern Protestant from the Bible Belt. Oh wait, I forgot - Fred's not a Christian.
People don't "hate" (Why is it that you and the rest of the Dobson Support Squad are the only ones to use the word hate?) Huckabee because he's a Hick, or because he's from the Bible Belt or because he's from the Boondocks.
Most conservatives don't like Huckabee because they are opposed to many of his positions, because of his record and because they don't find him credible.
All that plus a Lynyrd Skynyrd quote - Wow, you're hip! /sarcasm
