Based on the story, I am guessing she met a man who promised to give her a wad of cash for a short term marriage and a visa into the USA.

She obviously flew to Nigeria to marry a man for money. This way, they would both get what they wanted. For her, lots of money and for him, an opportunity to live in the United States with his new “bride”. This happens much more than people realize.

Child Protective Services was no doubt too busy investigating allegations of child abuse in Christian homes, that’s what. This is one of the Left’s latest crusades - to get religious instruction defined as child abuse. Someone recently wrote a book pushing this point of view.
