The end of the Romney campaign (New ad exposing Massachusetts record)
World Net Daily ^ | January 29, 2008 | Janet L. Folger

Posted on 01/28/2008 11:34:14 PM PST by Kurt Evans

Finally, there is a conservative answer to MoveOn.org: RoeGone.org ... What's even nicer is the ad they're launching to expose Mitt Romney's record. Be looking for secular conservative pundits and compromising pro-lifers to jump the Romney ship soon...

Unlike the other ads that have been done on Romney that primarily focus on his flip-flops on abortion, marriage, gun control, immigration, taxes, pornography etc., RoeGone.org's ad clearly delineates Romney's record as governor – which is very appropriate since that's exactly what Gov. Romney said we should do... [Link to ad in post #2.]

Meanwhile, the word is getting out that Gov. Mike Huckabee is the only candidate who supports both a Human Life Amendment and a Marriage Protection Amendment.

* Unlike Mitt Romney whose health-care plan includes abortion on demand.

* And John McCain who thinks taxpayers should fund medical experiments on human embryos.

* And Rudy Giuliani who supports every single abortion for all nine months, just like Hillary Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama and John Edwards.

Huckabee stands for marriage while McCain and Giuliani (and Clinton, Obama and Edwards) oppose the Marriage Protection Amendment, and Romney opposed a Marriage Amendment to his state constitution...

Yesterday, National Right to Life Political Action Committee issued the following statement:

"National Right to Life is grateful for the strong pro-life record established by Mike Huckabee as governor of Arkansas, and recognizes that Governor Huckabee has taken the strongest pro-life position on all of the life issues of any of the remaining candidates for president"...

And Rep. Duncan Hunter's endorsement of Huckabee is helping to bring the defense and border conservatives on board:

"I got to know Governor Huckabee well on the campaign trail," said Hunter... "Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity." ...

Romney is a good man, there is no comparison between a man like Romney and the likes of the whiner Huckabee a creep and McCain with all his baggage of lies and dishonor or the joke of a man named Rudy.

No thanks, this is a bunch of baloney.

I couldn’t believe that nonsense Huckabee said about adding two lanes to I-95 as a giant public works project. This guy should be selling Bibles door-to-door somewhere in Arkansas, not running the country.

No, our Interstates should all become increasingly congested and crumbling. Yeah, especially the bridges.

Last time I checked, improving roads was a public work, yes.

After all the complaints about Bush failing to be a conservative it is amazing that some people are investing so much faith in Flip Romney. I guess a pretty boy smile is all that is needed to fool the gullible.

You can bet I will be reminding his supporters exactly of this if the worst comes to pass.

obviously, women can get abortions in Mass. without the healthcare plan. Romney vetoed the abortion and employer mandate part of the bill as well as the penalty part...but he was overrided by the liberal legistlature.

“Just like Democrats, Hucklebee (sic) has based his campaign solely on exclusive identity politics.”

That’s absurd.

No, and it never will. If you think it doesn’t bother me to know that a practically grown man (almost 18) hung and tortured a dog, you don’t know me. If it doesn’t bother you, then that’s you.

Florida needs another highway up the middle of the state. Maybe expand highways 70 and 27. That would have a bigger impact. Instead everyone has to use 95 or 75 to go north/south, or I-4 or Alligator Alley to go across. That’s why it’s congested. It’s not the size of the highways...it’s the quantity.

Did you catch the thread where supposedly Swimmer told a source that he thinks Hillary can't get elected in the general? That's a good one, and I think that the more rational 'rats (they're not at DU) also know it. She will bring out conservative, independent, and even some 'rat voters, against her.

Did I miss something?

It’s past two pages and I haven’t seen any attempts at factual defenses for Romney, against the charges in this piece.

Should I re-read?

Gov. Romney has some more explaining to do -— nad it should be in a forum including the accusers/truth-tellers.

Another point: This sure does seem to draw the distinction between the thorough conservatives in FreeRepublic.com and those hiding behind the moniker for other reasons.

Didn't see that, it's like being dumped head-first into the basement of a loony bin (where they keep the REALLY crazy patients).

Ted K never disappoints, though. He's ALWAYS fat, drunk, stupid, loud, boorish and a murderer. Other than that, he's awesome!

If Romney is the big bad wold so called Liberal than answer this one your unaware McAmnesty Lover.

Why did Romney VETO an Abortion Bill called “The Morning After Pill Bill” ?

Look at N.A.R.A.L. Pro Death America angry reaction.

http://www.prochoicemass.org/news/press/200708231.shtml

Sadly Actions Speak Louder than Campaign Words, And Romney’s Veto settles your tricks of trying to get your Liberla McCain elected.

Romney Veto Pen is very Convincing. He did the Moral Thing by Vetoing this wicked bill. THAT IS A FACT NO CHEAP CAMPAIGN AD CAN CONFUSE !

Now, that's notable.

I don't recall ever seeing those words in the same sentence before this thread in FR.

All you have to do is look at the abusive posts from Romney supporters to answer your first question. They have no not rebuttal other than cheap name calling.

As for FReeRepublic, it is exactly their constant abusive responses of “you pig” that is quickly changing FR to CR (CReepRepublic). Something should be done about it.
