regarding SCOTUS, McPain also voted ‘aye’ to both Breyer and Ginsberg!

This, by the way, is one of the reasons I'm not nearly as nervous about a Hillary-McCain contest as some people. Sure, McCain might be able to peel off some independents. But more than any of the other Republican candidates, he's also going to have to reassure the conservative base. This is obviously a balancing act that every presidential candidate has to go through, but McCain has it much worse than most. Once the right-wing pandering gets into full swing and it will is he really going to be able to hang on to independents too? I'm not familiar with the writer. In this sentence, it sounds like he's saying he's supporting Hillary all the way. If he's a Hillary supporter, that means everything he's saying is designed to get her elected. So he's probably distorting the truth or outright lying.

That's the John McCain we've come to recognize.

The conservative base will find their own anti-amnesty candidate and run him as an independent in the general election if McCain gets the nomination. Hillary is counting on it.
The only way Bill & Hillary got elected in 1992 and re-elected in 1996 was because of Perot. In both elections, most voters voted against the Clintons.

we survived and even thrieved with clinton in the 90’s, i don’t think we would survive mccain.
I would prefer taking my chances that hillary would do to the dims what her husband did
minus 52 in the house
minus 9 in the senate
minus 10 governors
than contemplate what mccain would do to the republicans.

A lot of words boil down to this bottom line: Kevin Drum makes it clear that McCain is not to be considered a threat to Hillary’s ascendancy to the throne.
