DSCC - Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Dear Rick ,

I finally figured out what that smirk is for. George Bush just can't keep saying his lines with a straight face.

Tonight, he's giving his last State of the Union speech - finally! - and he's bound to claim that he's made American stronger, safer, bigger, and better. But after seven years of his failed policies, nothing could be further from the truth.

Thanks to George Bush and his cowboy diplomacy, America's standing around the world is at an all-time low. His trickle down economics have trickled us right onto the brink of a recession. And he's all but ignored the really big problems like global warming and sky-high health care costs.

We need two things to clean up George Bush's mess: a Democratic president with a bold progressive vision, and an overwhelming Democratic Senate majority to turn that vision into law. We're all working on the first one. Now, the DSCC needs your help to guarantee the second.

Click here to make an immediate, secure contribution of $50, $75, or more. We need a Democratic President and a strong Senate majority to turn our country around.

Mitch McConnell and his Republican buddies in the Senate have proved either unwilling or unable to do anything except defend Bush's failed policies. But as long as he controls enough votes, he can continue to stand in the way of any Democratic effort to pass real solutions.

So it's up to us to elect a strong Democratic majority that can overwhelm even the worst Republican obstructionism. It's the only way to right our economy, finally address global warming, and get a handle on out-of-control health care costs.

We can't do it without you. Your contribution will directly support the DSCC as we make plans and build infrastructure that will spread the Democratic message and make hundreds of thousands of voter contacts in Senate races across the country.

Right now, we're just $99,377 short of funding our proven campaign plan through January. Your contribution can help put us over the top.

Click here to make an immediate, secure contribution of $50, $75, or more. We need a Democratic President and a strong Senate majority to turn our country around.

The bottom line is this: George Bush got us into this mess. Only a strong Democratic majority can get us out.

It's up to you and me to make sure our Senate candidates have everything they need to win in November. I hope I can rely on your support.

Sincerely,

J.B. Poersch Executive Director

P.S. Remember, as long as Mitch McConnell controls enough votes, he'll always stand in the way of Democratic progress. Electing a strong Democratic majority is absolutely essential to turning our country around.

The Democrats, for all their "We wanna be equal, and pleasant, and we don't want people insulting people" crap are certainly a bunch of jerks. The above email was sent to my WORK address of all places. I did a little checking and it turns out that my email address was given to them by a certain Colorado DEMOCRAT Senator with whom I've had several... rather testy correspondences.

Apparently, they forget that there are those of us who disagree with failed LIBERAL policy and constant attacks on our President. While I certainly disagree with several of the Presidents stances, like on US Border Security, I don't disagree with him on many things. In no way do I consider any of his acts as President to have been "Cowboy diplomacy". In fact, were *I* the President, I'd have made George Bush look like a Liberal. But, that's neither here nor there....

Here's a copy of the letter I received that they are sending out before the State of the Union address tonight, complete with links and names.

Last I checked, Bush isn’t on any primary ballots. But the Dems like running against him.

No, not gonna file spam charges (Not sure one can do that), I can block them or be “removed” from their letter, or I can simply send it to the trash bin.... but the issue is I NEVER requested they send me anything at work. I have a home email address for that, and this one came OUT OF THE BLUE today. I had gotten one other letter a few days ago from someone else and ignored it.

NOW I’ve been checking all my sent items over the past two years, and the ONLY one other than the White House that I’ve sent from here was a handful to my Senators regarding “Gun control” bills and a couple of things. I don’t imagine that the Republican Senator send my email address onward... because I’ve never gotten anything from and REPUBLICAN folks, just the Damocrats lately.

They believe he is a failed President because they have no one else to blame but themselves for problems this country has gone through of late.

Just what exactly is “America’s standing in the world”, how is it quantified, and what is it worth?

Electing a strong Democratic majority is absolutely essential to turning our country around.

I agree. IT will turn our country around. We're already marching down the road to doomsday for America and nobody is smart enough to stop us. More Democrats accellerate our demise and eventually we'll be buried under what is considered third world nations today.

Diversity and PC is killing off the goose that laid the golden egg. For those politicians who have their noses shoved up that prize goose's rectum there ain't anymore coming....you've used it all up.

What's the measurement here? I think they just made this up.

Well, if we don't have a VERY STRONG national defense, Iran and a couple others would love to send us their version of warming, which will all but eliminate the need for health care in the U.S.

Idiots.

Well, I figure that most folks at least read the title and it did say “Letter from Democrats”... that ought to be a barf alert in and of itself in my opinion.

Another letter came in today, along this line. James Carville is the author of this one:

DSCC - Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee

Dear Rick ,

The worst job at the circus is cleaning up after the elephants. The same goes for politics.

When George Bush gave his State of the Union on Monday, I thanked God it was his last. But the state of our union is a whole lot worse than it was when Dubya took office.

Sure, the union between Dick Cheney and Halliburton may be strong and sure the union between the oil companies and their Republican toadies in Congress may be strong. But if you're getting by without health insurance, or facing foreclosure, or worried about your job or if you have a family member in Iraq, our union ain't half as strong as it needs to be.

Democrats have only begun to clean up this mess. To finish the job we've got to expand our Senate majority beyond the razor thin 51-49 margin we've got now.

If we want to beat the GOP, we've got to help the DSCC beat them at the money game every month in 2008, starting this minute. They're only $66,431 away from their January goal. You got to step it up to get them over the hump.

Click here to make a contribution of $50, $75, or more. Make a donation by January 31, and it will be matched by a group of Democratic senators, helping your money do even more to expand our majority.

If you're a political junkie like me, I'm guessing you're paying a lot of attention to the presidential primaries right now because we all know that's the big prize to fix this mess we're in. But in all the uncertainty, one thing is certain: we will make our party's nominee our nation's next president. And when we do, they're going to need a Senate that stands with them instead of standing in their way.

By making a donation today, you can ensure that when we swear in our next president - a Democratic president - they can take that office with the knowledge that they'll have some more cavalry up there in the Capitol.

Click here to make a contribution of $50, $75, or more. Make a donation by January 31, and it will be matched by a group of Democratic senators, helping your money do even more to expand our majority.

Let's get to it,

James

Donate 51 seats is not enough. Help expand our majority. Give by midnight Thursday night and your donation will be matched.

“Thanks to George Bush and his cowboy diplomacy, America’s standing around the world is at an all-time low.”

And that’s fine with me, the rest of the world can slow roast in hell as far as I’m concerned. And as far as the RAT population in this country, well, it looks like they’re surrounded.

Please allow me to translate:

"Thanks to George Bush (Hate him: hate Hate HATE!!!) and his cowboy diplomacy (the shameful practice of defending America and its allies), America's standing around the world is at an all-time low (the autocrats, nutjobs, religious fanatics, communists, and kleptocrats that run most countries all hate us, too). His trickle down economics (Capitalism is evil!) have trickled us right onto the brink of a recession (after seven straight years of unprecedented economic growth in a time of terrorism and war). And he's all but ignored the really big problems like global warming (Because "climate change" is a much more real threat than terrorism and if you don't agree that it exists, you're the scientific equivalent of a holocaust denier) and sky-high health care costs (which are due of course to those Eeeeevil insurance and pharmaceutical companies, and not to the hard-working, humble trial lawyers who selflessly "donate" their pocket change to Democrats whenever they can, or in between $400 haircuts)."
