When you add in the fact that the earth is at the end of a well-known interglacial cycle of 11,500 years, large portions of the planet are likely to get a lot cooler with the advent of a new Ice Age

If the greens get their regulations passed, and I think they will, they will point to the cooling as evidence that they "saved the planet".

Exactly. And that's also why they want it passed as soon as possible. Because, after a few more years it will be apparent that their hysteria was all a joke and they will be exposed as frauds But, with legislation passed, they will be able to "take credit" when the Earth's climate stands still.

[If the greens get their regulations passed, and I think they will, they will point to the cooling as evidence that they “saved the planet”.]

The weather and climatic conditions here in Arizona are virtually identical to those in the 70’s when we were warned of “global cooling”.

I predict the earth's temperature will be the lowest in recent years this year.

Also, I want to know what the wackos have or do propose to alter the climatic future? Other than destroying our economy, that is!

“If the greens get their regulations passed, and I think they will...” I think the global warming stuff peaked when Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize. I agree with the poster who wrote that the greens know they have a narow window of time during which they can get legislation passed. I don’t think the greens will pull it off. In only the last six months, more credible scientists have said that global warming is a canard or, at least, exaggerated. I think many people instinctively agree with Camille Paglia — a Democrat, incidentally — who wrote, “Man is not powerful enough to influence Nature.”
