Write in Fred. McCain is counting on it.
I don’t think you will get rewarded in heaven for voting for someone who has no chance to win, just because he is “the perfect one.” I vote because I can make a practical difference.
This Fredhead is NOT for Pretty Boy Mitt.
I’ll write in Michael Savage.
I tend to lean that way myself. It seems like the mask of pretending we have two parties in this country needs to be ripped off.
“One wants our national healthcare system to mimic that of the state he governed.”
Who is that?
And can you even once find a single reference to suggest as much?
Do you even need to write in his last name, or just write FRed? Theyll know who were talking about, right?
Surely you jest. I have been wondering if you could apply a small pre-printed “Fred Dalton Thompson” sticker to the write-in space and if it would be counted? Sorta like a small address label with the name correctly spelled.
Look, it's way too early to muddy the waters with a call for a symbolic protest vote. Wait until the nominee is selected at the convention and then fire up the write-in contest if you like.
I have to agree. Though, I don’t think anyone should vote against their conscience. In reality however, at this point, we are all forced to make choices from the people who are actually running for president, and I think everyone should take into consideration how their vote actually affects the remaining candidates and the future of this race. That said, vote your conscience, and hope that the choices that we make are good for the country that all of love. Personally, I’m voting for Mitt Romney.
Another Fredhead for Mitt here.
I’m not Bill Quick.
Ill likely vote Romney, even though I have issues with him. But that is not a wasted vote if it helps get a a guy who goes up against the Democrat, and wins.
And you think Mitt could beat Hillary????
That’s what I’m doing, if my voting machine permits it. Neither moral relativism nor political relativism works.
It also gave us the Contract with America and the broke a 50-year precedent with the GOP takeover of Congress.
Silly recommendation. Thompson withdrew.
It just dilutes the relative conservative preference and lets a RINO become the nominee.
Instead, vote for the most conservative of the viable candidates. That is Mitt Romney for President.
Say NO to proamnesty-proCO2caps-CFR-nannystate-RINO John McCain.
” If you cant bring yourself to vote for the offerings in your primary, or if the eventual nominee is somebody you cant stomach, dont sit out, and dont vote for the Democrat. “
Just the primaries?
It's over. Thompson did not want to be President. He campaigned like a guy being dragged to see "Failure to Launch" with his girlfriend. I don't care how right he was on issues. Being right doesn't mean jack if you're not willing to fight for these principles. Fred wasn't. That's all. Forget it. It's over.
Well, there were a lot of factors leading to the change in Congress and no one could predict that they’d be duplicated again. So I think it’s too simple an explanation to say that voting for Perot gave us the Contract with America and therefore writing in Thompson will lead to the Republican’s taking back the government.
Romney's only real accomplishment as Governor of Massachusetts was to propose the first ever statewide health care program in America. Romney wants the federal governemnt to take over 1/7th of the US economy by shoving a version of his RomneyCare down the throats of the American people. Mandates, subsidizes and regulations aren't what the US health care system needs. That is the first step on the road to socialized medicine.
Romney has a lousy track record on most issues. People who have chosen to blindly follow him are engaging in a cult following.
