Fellow FReepers all, I submit this as exhibit A of the superior, nanny tone that has, since before Thompson even entered the race, always struck me as a consistently worrisome trait in Romney's core supporters. Their presumption of authority and superiority comes to them so naturally that they don't even see it themselves and are puzzled and confused that anyone could take issue with them on that basis alone. It reflects the very nature of the candidate they support -- nannyish Mitt Romney.
