One: It is no ones business but the person smoking MJ if their lungs rot out or not. Two: The amount of people on FR who are obviously not conservative and who believe in big government control over what people put into their bodies constantly amazes me. I don't do drugs, never have, never will. But this type of crap in this article is the same BS they say about cigs. The only difference is MJ is already illegal and cigs are legal.
The war on drugs is a farce and designed to keep drug dealers in business. Legalize most drugs and take the money out of it. You instantly lose a huge amount of crime, just as happened when prohibition was repealed. Take the money out of it and you take the crime out of it, and if MJ smokers want to ruin their lungs , let them. Their lungs belong to themselves not the government or some self righteous A**ho** pretending to be a conservative.

If it was cigarettes, or trans fat, they'd be all about "no government interference". But with pot, they've bought the government platform, hook, line, and sinker. It amazes me too.

And not a thing you said addresses the results of the study, ie: smoking marijuana is worse for your health than smoking cigarettes. Maybe marijuana smokers will want to know the effect of their habit on their lungs. A public service to the pot heads? Or should we just keep quiet and let them kill themselves off?

What is even more bizarre are those Freepers who want to deny marijuana to old people with terminal illnesses.
That is like the hospitals that don't want their terminal patients to smoke.
Use some common sense, people, and allow folks to have some dignity (spelled f_r_e_e_d_o_m) in their last days.
Any other view is just gross cruelty.

No need to huff and hold. So, even if the study is true (and I find it worth considering the possibility that the science may be politicized), people could alter their means of ingestion.

I would like to see statistics on marijuana users and driving. It takes a month for the body to get rid of all of the chemicals contained in marijuana because some are fat-soluble.
