The Talk Shows
Sunday, January 27th, 2008
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y.; former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Gen. David Petraeus; Paulson; former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.; Huckabee.
Tom DeLay says McCain will destroy the GOP, he could run something, as the inside man with Rush the public face.
She was high up in the Fred Thompson campaign.
On the other hand, a McCain win in Florida might bring on a Rep voter backlash w/voters' dread of the specter of a McCain presidency being equal to a Hillary's.
Mitt has been the best candidate in terms of supporting President Bush, with Rudy close to him. McCain and Huck have been the worst. No surprise there.
No attack ads from anybody on TV in North Central Florida.
Worse yet he could unite with a whole bunch of dem/rats who see him as an easy roll and we could be in true trouble!!
Anyone who is not familiar with McCain/Finegold should be, it paralyzes us in so many ways and is only a sample of what a McCain candidacy will get us.
McGeezer will compromise on anything just to get something passed, he never met a bill he didn't like, good or bad. He is the worst demagogue you can have in a power position.
It’s pretty obvious he has “base” and “establishment” mixed up.
I still think the bulk of the voting has been done, discounting the late endorsements. Not sure that people around here are all that happy with Cris. Jeb is more influential. I think counting Rudy out is a mistake.
Like I said....I don't think tucking tail between legs and dutifully voting for McCain is the answer. If we do that and McCain wins the Conservative movement and idealology is dead. Oh we'll still be out here but we'll effectively have no voice.
Phsssstpok is advocating a massive overhaul of the GOP elected who have betrayed us. Which is fine and true. But even this action will have no impact, if such a thing would even be attempted with a President McCain, if McCain is the face of the Republican party.
It's time to revolt or sit back quietly and let the liberals run things for the next fifty years.
He is the same pundit who predicted Romney has no chance & McCain will win handily in Michigan.
Would that dirigisme and fabianism become popular among those given to rational, critical analysis.

First mention of Rudy on this thread.
So much for early polls and front runners.
“I dont think Huckabee is all that viable as a VP candidate, because he doesnt bring all that much to the ticket.”
If you consider the pro-life/pro-gun wing of the base as “not much”?
I appreciate your incisive thoughts.
source, please, on Liz Cheney
What I meant is that DeLay and Rush could lead an anti-McCain conservative movement, possibly an independent ticket or 3rd party, with neither of them on the ticket naturally.
Which leads to the question>
what else does Juan mix up
or
what doesn’t he see upside down?
