Good evening from your Mistress of Ceremonies, Louella Rose Parsons (moi) here at the Grauman's Chinese Theater where I'm pleased to be appearing before this star-studded audience of Freepers. So good to see all of you in your fabulous beaded gowns, jewels and tuxedos. You look divine! And many thanks to Miss Claudette Colbert for the wonderful introduction.
Without ado, here's the contest winners and their winning entries.
FIRST PRIZE - to OLD SARGE for a scene from The Quiet Man and one from The Ten Commandments. SARGE'S memorable moments star two Freeper heroes, John Wayne and Charlton Heston. This powerful and patriotic duo gives SARGE'S combo first place!
SECOND PRIZE - to FLAGLADY47 for a winning entry in combining two of the most famous quotes in movie history....."I vant to be alone" and "Win One For the Gipper". Congratulations, FLAGLADY, for pairing two of the most memorable lines ever delivered by talented actors on the silver screen. Unforgettable!
THIRD PRIZE - To DO THE DHUE for memorable quotes from "The Passion" and "We were Soldiers". These quotes represent moving and dramatic lines dear to DHUE's heart and to FReepers's hearts everywhere! Beautiful combination, Dhue, and a winner all the way.!

I'm impressed by the wide range of movies above and the decades covered. Also the good memories, perspicacity and discernment demonstrated by all of our contestants in selecting memorable movie lines and scenes. Great work, dahlings!
Each winner will have $10 donated to the FReepathon in his/hers name.......for a total here of $90 !
But wait! There's more Awards to come. But right now, it's time for a commercial break announcing Ford Motor Company's brand new 1934 Ford V8 with new carburation, clear vision ventilation, a new chromium-plated grill and new swivel-type sun visors.....all this priced at $530 to $610.
Watch for my next post coming in a little while. You don't want to miss the rest of the Awards!
Your Mistress of Ceremonies, Louella Parsons
And the crowd goes crazy!!
Thanks Louella!!! I had been on the edge of my seat all day long!
I’d like to thank the Academy for their collective wisdom in bestowing this honor upon my humble shoulders. I should also like to thank John Wayne, Charlton Heston, Cecil B. DeMille, and John Ford, for without whom this award might not be possible.
Thank you, and may Ghod bless you all!
ROTFL! Well the sorta had to do sumpin'.......
The old zenith "up draft" carburetors just didn't lend themselves very well to an engine of the "V" configuration.
Hence the new "down draft" carburetor.
All in all a good design.
Ran good too for a 60 HP engine.
THE CECIL B. DEMILLE AWARD FOR ACHIEVEMENT IN THE ARTS AND SCIENCES:
.....awarded to LADY JAG, VALERIE AND BD476 whose graphics, animations and special effects were the eye candy (Milk Duds and Old Crows) on every FReepathon thread. Their talent for humor and posting the right art at the right time was incredible. $10 will be donated in each of your names in recognition of your skill and highly-developed wit. Congratulations to all three of you!
THE DONALD O'CONNOR AWARD FOR ALL-AROUND SPIRIT AND VERVE:

Thanks, Fiddle.....oops, Fiddl.
THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL AWARD FOR THE BAD AND THE BEAUTIFUL:
....awarded to DO THE DHUE who had dood it again! In the FReepathon's last quarter, DHUE won for posting the BEST rhyme in the Mother FReep Political Nursery Rhymes Contest. He also won in the WORST Rhyme category.
DHUE took Third Place in this quarter's contest with his winning entry. Miss Louella (moi) has decided to award a prize to the contestant with THE MOST UNMEMORABLE MOVIE MOMENT.....and DHUE wins hands down.
His entry was the unforgettable quote "I promise I won't die", and an unforgettable scene, the singing of "I'm so ronery" both from the unforgettable movie......damn, I forget the name of the movie!
This unmemorable entry which can only be described as dhue dhue has earned DHUE a special $20 award. Added to the 10 bucks he earned for being in Third Place in this contest, gives him a total of $30 which will be sent to FReepathon Central.
Adding this $30 to the $50 he earned in the last contest, Dhue has now won $80 for FR with his bad and beautiful efforts in our two contests making him the highest earner of cash contributions in Freepathon contest history!. Love you, Mr. Dhue.....for your loyal participation.....and for being a good sport!
One more brief post to follow.....but first a word from our sponsor, Brylcreem, "A Little Dab'll Do Ya".

You should win an award yourself, Louella, for the best use of a word: perspicacity! Worth a golden Oscar, I should think.
