She'd love a smack-down tonight so she can claim she's the white-folks candidate. Not in those terms, probably more along the line of "the candidate for all Americans", or "the candidate for the rest of us", but the implication will be clear. Yes, you’re correct and this is OK. She will still get the nomination but she will alienate African-Americans in the process. This will make her even weaker in Nov.
