The upcoming FL presidential preference primary cannot come soon enough. My home phone is being spammed with junk taped telephone calls on behalf of Mitt Romney. We just received the third call in the last four hours on behalf of Romney. One call featured Bay Buchanan. another was Romney himself. My wife answered the third and hung up so quickly we don't know who recorded that tape.
I accept that Gov Romney believes that he is in a tight race, but this is ridiculous. And, frankly, counter-productive. I really hate being spammed with junk phone calls in this fashion. And there is no way that I, or my wife, will cast a vote for any candidate that utilizes the approach of annoying us at home.
Just as a matter of interest, the only candidate or campaign from whom we have received calls in this election cycle is Romney's. Enough, Mitt! Stop calling my home! Go pester someone else.
think about it GOP_Lady Robo calls is what those with little money use like Huckabee and Ron Paul.
Romney Money is tie up in Radio & TV ads!
I think this is bogus anti Mitt BS
I had a call from Sheriff Joe, one from Mitt, one push poll for huckabust, one call from the huck campaign, one from John Mccain, one from john kemp today.
the push poll was the only actual person on the other end.
I have been answering for fun,i don’t usually do polls, keeping tabs. anyway for me today so far:
Mitt 2
john 2
huck 2
Not this time.
And America is going to win the WOT!
LOL!
The caller ID states clearly “political call”, so no response is needed.
I think robo calling is done because it works.
I just hung up on my third call today from McCain.
You’re wrong. It costs money for a robo call. I have had two Mitt, two McCain and one Rudy call. Poor candidates don’t have money to spend on those calls. I suppose that is why I have only had one Rudy call and no Huckabee calls. But the calls are coming in more frequently starting today. I guess I should keep totals.
Think what you please. I'll bet you don't vote in Florida.
(s) DIDN”T YOU GET THE DBM MEMO!!! You were ordered to vote for Huckster because all Thompson did was split votes of the christian zombies. (/s)
We don't currently use Caller ID. The DNC list worked so well for us I discontinued Caller ID some time back. My mistake. And one I intend to rectify before the next election, which here in Florida is in August.
I received a push-poll backing Huckabee today.
Well, since this seems to be par for the course campaining. Get used to it.
In my state, I really wish someone would poll me.
Truth is, we have no candidate left that is a bonafide conservative, no, not Huck either folks, he is a Christian Democrat.
We can sit it out, as long as we vote local and state, we can make an effort to stop Hillary or Obama.
Outcome? Who knows. I know I will never vote for someone that has supported with words and deed, illegal immigration.
That leaves McCain, Huck, totally out. If this is the outcome, I might as well go out in my primary and vote, Obama.
My favorite political website is being spammed with Romney ads too.
I never had one I sure it cost money for that, but are the effective?
Eric Felderman? (sp?)
He is a big jerk.! :)
“Act professional! Don’t be argumentative with the candidate!”
EF is a big baby.
I’m not with the campaign :)
They’re not effective with me. I don’t like to be bothered by calls. But the candidates must think they are effective or they would not make so many of them.
It’s funny, sometimes the calls are about the candidates strong points, sometimes they are about the other candidates weak points, sometimes they refute bad things the other candidates said about them, and on the last day there are usually reminders to go out and vote.
I do know some people feel slighted if candidates don’t call to ask for the vote. But I would rather be left in peace.
Florida may be rough on all the candidates. There are a lot of groups represented in this state and whoever does the best job of getting their constituent organizations out to vote will win. So I know I will be inundated with calls until the polls close on Tuesday.
