My wife was pregnant with our youngest son and she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
She waited til our son was born before getting treatment. Thankfully, she was not so advanced that it could not be quickly treated.
My son and my wife are alive today 16 years later.
She did receive tremendous pressure from doctors and her family to get an abortion. She would not.
