I heard Hucks comments to a reporter this morning and it was a crack about Romneys money. I thought it was just democrats that hated the rich. Than I heard Hunters cracks about Bain and it caused me to conclude there is some envy there. Otherwise why bring it up? That’s what I meant about conversations between Hunter and Huck. If Hunter finds Huckabee more redeemable than Romney so be it, I don’t buy it.

His interview indeed sounded like sour grapes. Don't let the haters get to you....

OTOH, it doesn't matter since Huckabee is on his way back to Arkansas with his tail between his legs.

I will drink to that!

If Hunter thinks Huckabee could win, I sure hope he will explain how some time soon....I just want to stay out of the primary politics now after voting for Fred here in SC. I am just burned out a bit right now.

I can’t believe that Freepers think Romney is the preferable candidate. I’d rather have McCain or Huckabee.

Well that pretty much says it all huh....McCain or Huckabee is your preference. We disagree....I wanted Thompson...he is not running...I will not vote for McCain the angry or Huckabee the huckster...

One more thing...do you have a problem with capitalism? I admire someone who actually held a job outside of public office. Tell me what jobs in the private sector that Huckabee has had....

Hunter sits at a desk with 'intelligence' you nor I will EVER see... he said Huckabee was the ONLY one interested in discussion of the issues he was seeking to bring to the debates.

I heard nothing against capitalism, what I heard was about national security given this Chinese company was selling military wares to Saddam. Oh and Romney could NOT be bothered to discuss the matter.

So Huckabee is saying he wants this to be federal law. You’d have to find Romney claiming he wants a federal law to bring him up to that level.

From the article:

The views of the other Republican candidates on a smoking ban are not entirely clear. The campaigns of Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani did not respond to inquiries.

We don't know what Willard would do because he didn't respond. Do you think that someone that wants to take your guns would hesitate attacking other rights?

These laws should be set at the state/local level - not by the feds.

These laws should not be set at all. The entire second hand smoke issue is a big lie. In regards to private property they are a violation of private property rights.

I think you are adding 2 + 2 and coming up with 5.

The Huck comment was only in regards to campaign cash. Its easy to run a campaign with no popular support when you can pay for it yourself.

Hunter doesn’t care about Willard’s money. He cares about the country and our military.

Oh but he did discuss it. He said that the deal was being reviewed by our state department and if there was a security concern it would be taken care of. Besides...Romney isn’t involved in the company anymore.

Hunter claims that he sent memos and tried to bring it up in the debate and was ignored. He is ticked that he was ignored. His comments are sour grapes.

I was responding to another Freeper on the capitalism question. Not Hunter’s remarks.

McCain=Amnesty=Destruction of this country as we know it. Amnesty is forever.

My preference was for Hunter, then Thompson. I sent money to both. I can’t find a suitable candidate left in the race. Romney is my fourth choice. So yes, we DO disagree.

Michael Medved is giving some pretty compelling reasons to support McCain. McCain at least says what he believes, even if you disagree with him. Unlike Romney who will pander and say whatever you want to hear, making as many promises as necessary. He is simply unacceptable, and he is NOT consevative.

McCain is the only candidate that beats Hillary in a head to head poll. Romney always places last, in his chances to beat the Witch. If you don’t want he as POTUS, I suggest you support McCain, based upon polling evidence. There are too many skeletons in Romney’s closet. The dems will make mincemeat out of him.

Why is the State Department reviewing??? Romney gets NO income any longer from this company.... We are talking President status here... remember 'big oil' and Haliburton the liberals tagged teamed President Bush and Cheney over. So begs the question what does Hunter really know that Romney does not even want to discuss?

Hunter claims that he sent memos and tried to bring it up in the debate and was ignored. He is ticked that he was ignored. His comments are sour grapes.

I heard what Hunter said, and he knew he was speaking into a mic for any and all to hear, so what was he really saying. He is leaving the House of Representatives so it is not that he is planning a bit of McCain styled feathering his own nest revenge.

I was responding to another Freeper on the capitalism question. Not Hunter’s remarks.

Hunter sits at a desk with 'intelligence' you nor I will EVER see...

What part of this do you not understand.

Hunter can only comment on the issues that are known publically. Like the purchase of a sensative busisness that is up for public review. He can not talk about classified issues.

The FR poll can be easily defeated by multiple votes from the same person.

I have personally witnessed tactics used by RomBots against Thompson that are straight out of a democrat playbook.

A harder piece of evidence is the appearance of poll after poll showing Romney in the lead when he is clearly not. Case in point is an ARG poll several months back showing him surging in South Carolina.

Romney’s supporters reflect his character of no principles.

Here’s Romney showing exactly what’s wrong with him, glib and ‘perfect’ in all things including his past imperfections which of course were very small and they no longer exist:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYXV9SbyKLo

But the real eye-opener is here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9IJUkYUbvI&NR=1

At exactly 3:40 into this video clip and continuing through to 4:30, the entire schtick of Romney is revealed.

This guy is a weasel of the first order.

If he gets into office he will be making excuse after excuse for anything that goes wrong, he will single out others and cast blame, if any of his initiatives fail, it will be someone else’s fault because he (He as in God) is perfect.

Capitalism is great. We need more of it, but not at the expense of national security or sovereignty.

You are free to weigh private sector employment as much as you want in your choice for the nominee. I'm sure Mr. Huckabee has held a job at some point in his life. If that's the deciding factor for you, I'm sure you could find out.

He is not holding Romney responsible for his former companies actions. He is holding Romney responsible for his refusal to take a public stand against what his former company is doing even though Hunter has pointed out to him that Bain Capital is putting our national security at risk.
