It’s a 1976 documentary.
Quite a number of reports I haven’t heard before.
“If each of these stars only had 1 planet orbiting them, there would be aprox. 40,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets. If anyone thinks we are the only intelligent life out of all these planets, well let’s just say their egotistical rating is way off the scale or they have the IQ of an ameba.”
And for the non-evolutionist, if anyone thinks that 40 x 10 planets is somehow ‘really a big number’ to an infinite God,
then his concept of infinity is quite limited.
An infinite God can concentrate his entire focus on the hair of the head of a single individual, while at the same time concentrating his entire focus on a planet a billion miles away. And still be concentrating on everything else. He doesn’t have a finite mind like we do; and what’s ‘small’ to us isn’t by definition too small to bother with to him.
Evolution is even now in the process of being trashed
setting the globe’s citizens up for believing the
watcher/ fallen angel/ nephilium/ ET’s contention that
THEY seeded human life on this planet millenia ago.
Theyre here for the milk.
Glad I’m not pregnant
LOL.
Trying times to be pregnant in, imho.
An interesting documentary. Surprised I hadn’t seen it.
N = N* fp ne fl fi fc fL
The equation can really be looked at as a number of questions:
N* represents the number of stars in the Milky Way Galaxy
Question: How many stars are in the Milky Way Galaxy?
Answer: Current estimates are 100 billion.
fp is the fraction of stars that have planets around them
Question: What percentage of stars have planetary systems?
Answer: Current estimates range from 20% to 50%.
ne is the number of planets per star that are capable of sustaining life
Question: For each star that does have a planetary system, how many planets are capable of sustaining life?
Answer: Current estimates range from 1 to 5.
fl is the fraction of planets in ne where life evolves
Question: On what percentage of the planets that are capable of sustaining life does life actually evolve?
Answer: Current estimates range from 100% (where life can evolve it will) down to close to 0%.
fi is the fraction of fl where intelligent life evolves
Question: On the planets where life does evolve, what percentage evolves intelligent life?
Answer: Estimates range from 100% (intelligence is such a survival advantage that it will certainly evolve) down to near 0%.
fc is the fraction of fi that communicate Question: What percentage of intelligent races have the means and the desire to communicate? Answer: 10% to 20%
fL is fraction of the planet's life during which the communicating civilizations live
Question: For each civilization that does communicate, for what fraction of the planet's life does the civilization survive?
Answer: This is the toughest of the questions. If we take Earth as an example, the expected lifetime of our Sun and the Earth is roughly 10 billion years. So far we've been communicating with radio waves for less than 100 years. How long will our civilization survive? Will we destroy ourselves in a few years like some predict or will we overcome our problems and survive for millennia? If we were destroyed tomorrow the answer to this question would be 1/100,000,000th. If we survive for 10,000 years the answer will be 1/1,000,000th.
When all of these variables are multiplied together when come up with:
N, the number of communicating civilizations in the galaxy.
are there “typing police”?
Check out Stanton Friedman’s very humorous but factual discourse on that topic at his website. Very funny.
Basically, he shreds it.
ETs contention that
THEY seeded human life on this planet millenia ago.
I had that thought over 40 years ago.Man showed up and progressed on this planet just too damn quick.
I Don’t think I get your point in the least.

French Expert Publicly Emerges to Confirm Secret United Nations Meeting on UFO’s.
A French aviation expert has come forward to reveal his participation in a secret meeting held at the United Nations New York headquarters that discussed the UFO phenomenon from February 12-14. Gilles Lorant is an attaché to the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS- National Center for Scientific Research) which is a government-funded research organization, under the administrative authority of France’s Ministry of Research. He is also a member Institute of Advanced Studies for National Defense (IHEDN - the French Organization that produced the 1999 COMETA Report). Both CNRS and IHEDN are prestigious scientific organizations in France, and Lorant was invited to attend the UN meetings in a professional capacity. A report released by a French UFO organization (Federation of European Airplane ), of which Lorant is an executive member, contained a summary of the UN meeting where he describes what happened at the meeting.
Lorant revealed that a series of UN meetings were held over a three day period. In the meetings there was discussion of a confidential report, prepared by the U.S. Air Force and a branch of the National Guard, concerning the societal impact of UFO sightings. The initial meeting was held on February 12 and, according to Lorant’s report, led to a request by three U.S. Senators for further discussions. Additional meetings were held immediately after on February 13 and 14. The implication is that three U.S. Senators attended the secret UN meetings. The meetings were very concerned about social upheaval from continued UFO sightings and the testimonies of individuals claiming to have first hand knowledge about UFO’s, extraterrestrial life, and future global events. It was reported that adverse public reactions to UFO sightings could have a dramatic economic impact that could lead to recessions in some countries.
The emphasis on possible societal upheaval due to growing UFO sightings was reminiscent of recommendations of the 1953 Robertson Panel, convened by the CIA, which identified adverse public reactions as a major security threat that could be exploited by foreign enemies. The UN discussions appeared to match concerns identified in both the 1953 Robertson Panel and the 1961 Brookings Report to the U.S. Congress, over ramifications of UFO reports and the eventual discovery of extraterrestrial life.
2009 was raised as the year when an important change in official attitudes concerning the UFO phenomenon could be made. This suggested that the official debunking policy underway since the 1953 Robertson Panel would be abandoned and more serious study of the UFO phenomenon would occur. This indicated an important policy shift where the study of UFO’s would be officially encouraged. However, certain global conditions would have to be met for the official opening. Most important appeared to be social stability in G-8 countries and the maintenance of liberal democratic systems in developing nations. Lorant also suggested that an official opening in attitudes would only occur if UFO sightings continued to occur at present levels.
Lorant’s testimony provides independent corroboration for an anonymous source who first came forward on February 12 to reveal to two New York researchers (Clay and Shawn Pickering) that the UN meeting had taken place. The source’s testimony was revealed in two articles published by this author on February 13 and 20 , and a follow up article by Robert Morningstar on Feb 25. Lorant’s testimony gives more detailed information of what happened at the meeting, and is consistent with statements from the original source of the UN meeting concerning approximately 40 participants, multiple issues being discussed as well as the UFO phenomenon, and public reactions to increased UFO sightings. Most importantly, Lorant provides insight into reasons for a significant change in official public policy towards the UFO phenomenon.
The reported results of the UN meetings indicate agreement was reached for an international strategy to more seriously study the UFO phenomenon in a manner that maintains present levels of social stability. This raises the possibility that those presenting information on UFOs/extraterrestrial life deemed to threaten national stability or financial systems, would receive special attention by national security agencies. The meetings results suggest that an official change in government policy from ‘debunking’ to ‘openness’ concerning UFO’s would lead to official approval to narrowly define study of the UFO phenomenon. However, those claiming to have first hand experience of extraterrestrial life would be targeted as charlatans. The UN meeting thereby suggested continuation of policies aimed at exploiting divisions in the UFO community between researchers advocating a strictly scientific study of the UFO phenomenon, and those wishing to discuss testimonies/documentation concerning extraterrestrial life visiting Earth. An article exposing “Galactic COINTELPRO” is available here.
Lorant’s testimony finally suggests that governments are being driven to more open approach to the UFO phenomenon due to the recent increase sightings that are projected to continue well into 2009. What follows is a summary report of the UN meetings based on Lorant’s testimony that appears in a newsletter of the FEA and is available in the original French.

STEPHENVILLE UPDATE FROM:

First part here:
Stephenville UFO is viewed by former protector of
Texas Governors
Filed 2-28-2008
By ANGELIA JOINER - Stephenville Lights Reporter
ajoiner@stephenvillelights.com
Mike Zimmerman, 62, retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety after 25 years but not before he was on protective detail for five Texas Governors.
Zimmerman was assigned to protect Governors Briscoe, Clements, White, Richards and Bush for a period spanning 19 years.
“Clements was governor twice,” he said.
To date, Zimmerman may be the most credible witness to come forward to report what Erath County residents have been coming forward in droves to report since January 8 — another unidentified flying object.
He said it was 6:05 a.m. on January 31 when he awoke from a peaceful slumber for a Mother Nature call. As he was returning to bed, something caught his eye through the bedroom window of his home located just past the city limits on U.S. Highway 281 South in Stephenville, Texas.
“I saw three bright lights,” Zimmerman said. “Two white lights were grouped closer together and higher and the third one was closer to the horizon. That one was a was a reddish orange color.”
Zimmerman shared a sketch and notes he had jotted down.
But, there is more to this story
The two white lights also were shooting out beams of white light in a pulsating strobe light effect. The reddish orange light closer to the horizon did not have beams shooting from it.
“At first I thought it might be three helicopters with really bright search lights until I noticed the beams of white lights shooting out to the side of the bright lights,” Zimmerman said.
He said he awoke his companion to make sure he was seeing what he thought he was seeing. The couple watched for approximately three minutes he said.
“What I saw is completely different from what Lee Roy (Gaitan) saw,” Zimmerman said. “The beams from the side weren’t as obvious as the bright big lights and they were just real quick. The whole beam would just shoot out there and just disappear. If anyone had taken a picture with a timed exposure they would have caught all of them (shooting beams) at one time. It was strange. I have never seen anything like this before at all.”
Zimmerman said the sun was rising and he’s not sure how the lights disappeared. He said he didn’t know if they became less obvious because of the sun’s light or if they just left.
“I could have turned away for a minute and they left,” Zimmerman said. “I’m not sure what happened, but I remembered looking and they just weren’t there anymore.”
Zimmerman said his home faces the northwest and his bedroom is on the back of the structure.
“I got out my compass and it indicated 115 degrees,” Zimmerman said. “So the objects would have been more to the east.”
Zimmerman said he had talked with Gaitan on January 9 so he was aware of the object Gaitan and his son had viewed on the evening of January 8.
When asked if he was able to ascertain if the objects appeared to be under intelligent control, he said he could not say because he didn’t see them move.
“I hope it’s military,” Zimmerman said. “I know they’ve got things. I could go either way (opinion of military or alien) but it was out of the ordinary and I have never seen anything like it before.”
Zimmerman said as he was watching the shooting beams he at first wondered if something could be going on at Fort Hood.
“That’s the first thought I had, but that’s a long way off and it appeared to be closer than that,” Zimmerman said.
Zimmerman estimated that with a dime held out with his arm fully extended, the objects would have been slightly larger than the dime.
He is currently employed as an officer with the Tarleton State University Police and he said he has not had another sighting, but openly confessed, “I pay more attention now and I’m watching for it.”
When asked why he waited so long to come forward, he looked thoughtful and then he said, “It was something I had to think about and it didn’t seem the same as what Lee Roy (Gaitan) saw.”
The Stephenville UFO saga continues with Zimmerman being the third officer to come forward after Erath County Constable Lee Roy Gaitan and Sheriff’s Deputy Jim Clifton.

MUFON investigates more Erath County UFO sighting reports
Filed 2-24-2008
By ANGELIA JOINER - Stephenville Lights Reporter
ajoiner@stephenvillelights.com
Investigators with Mutual UFO Network (MUFON)) collected seventeen new UFO sighting reports in Dublin, Texas, on Saturday, Feb. 23.
Not knowing what to expect in the way of numbers of witnesses, eight field investigators attended from the organization from Austin, Waco, Dallas/ Fort Worth, and said they were pleased with results.
Chief Investigator Steve Hudgeons was asked if he believed the new reports were credible and said investigators are often faced with reports from individuals only wanting to get in on the action.
“Of the reports I have reviewed, I didn’t get an impression that witnesses were not honest in their accounts,” Hudgeons said. “As I have said before, this is a very, very, significant sighting.”
Hudgeons conducted an interview with star witness Ricky Sorrells, who was first interviewed by Angela K. Brown of the Associated Press, on Jan. 14. After that interview was released, his story of the daytime UFO sighting at his property just outside of Dublin, quickly traveled around the world and major news outlets converged on Stephenville, Texas, the next day.
“I knew most of his (Sorrells’) report because we had talked on the phone days earlier, but you never know a person until you have met them face to face,” Hudgeons said. “I found him to be a man of his word because he told me he was going to see me for an interview, and he did come in, even though he was sick and not feeling well. We talked alone for almost an hour. I learned a good deal about his sighting that I hadn’t known prior to our visit. He was very direct with his questions and answers. I admire and respect that quality in a person.”
Hudgeons said, according to MUFON records, the total number of sighting reports in Texas, beginning in 1977 and continuing through late 2007, is slightly more than 400.
“From November 2007 to date, the number of sightings are in the neighborhood of about 150,” Hudgeons said. “We are still investigating nearly 100 reports across Texas.”
Media had been warned off the Saturday gathering due to several witnesses leaving when cameras turned in their direction at the Jan. 19 meeting with an estimated crowd of about 400, and more than a dozen media outlets. But a few local reporters attended, as well as one from the Los Angeles Times, although no cameras were allowed inside the building.
Frank Wachowe, 32, with Mamone Productions, traveled from St. Louis, Missouri, spending about 17 hours on the road, and plans on producing a documentary film on the UFO phenomenon occurring around the area.
His plans include investigating the “personal and emotional side of witnessing a UFO.”
Wachowe said he is interested in documenting the impact of the sighting on the various communities involved in Erath County.
“How does something this extraordinary impact the culture of a community?” Wachowe said is one area he will explore.
Wachowe said he holds a Bachelor’s in media productions from Webster University in St. Louis and another in anthropology from the University of Missouri in St. Louis.
Autumn Humphreys with The History Channel’s UFO Hunters was also in attendance, and said a crew from her company will arrive on Sunday, Feb. 24. In an earlier interview, she said the episode, which will include interviews with area witnesses, will probably be aired in late April or early May. Humphreys said the company has set up a temporary office in downtown Stephenville on Graham Street.
Meanwhile, Hudgeons said he and others are working nights and weekends in an effort to expedite a final report, which will be made public.
“I am a project manager for a commercial construction company and I have my own company as a side job drawing blue prints for other construction companies,” Hudgeons said. “I am basically working seven days a week. Now, having said that, the events in the Dublin area have been occurring and are continuing with no foreseeable let up. All of the members on the investigation team work for a living and we cannot continue (the investigation) forever.”
“I woke up this morning (Sunday after the meeting) with three new sighting reports in Texas,” Hudgeons said. “I haven’t looked them up as yet to see where they are so I can make assignments.”
Hudgeons said a full report in a timeline format will be issued by MUFON soon. The report will include the final analysis of Stephenville resident David Coran’s video, of Jan. 19 and 20, which was seen on many news broadcasts and Web sites. Some have referred to the lights in the video as being similar to hieroglyphic symbols.
“It (final report) will be posted in the April issue of the MUFON Journal, and I plan to hold a news conference at the Dublin Rotary Club in April,” Hudgeons said. “Once again I wish to thank the Rotary Club for hosting our two meetings. MUFON was greeted warmly, and we are very appreciative.”
Hudgeons said he and other members always enjoy visiting Dublin Dr Pepper, as well as meeting the friendly folks in Dublin.
Hudgeons said investigators for the organization are not paid and cover all of their own expenses.

Erath County officer witnesses UFO
Filed 2-22-2008

Another law enforcement officer has come forward in the strange and mysterious UFO sightings in Erath County.
Sgt. Jim Clifton of the Erath County Sheriff’s Department was with Erath County Constable Lee Roy Gaitan in the early morning hours of Feb. 2 on U.S. Hwy. 377 when both saw something extraordinary in the black sky.
“It was a clear night, no clouds, no moon, and a dark night,” Clifton said. “I’ve never seen anything like that before in my career. I’ve never seen any aircraft like that. The lights did not appear to be military. I was very amazed at what we saw.”

Bars using Scanning devices....
This past weekend i went to a bar, and for the first time in my life, they took my drivers license, and scanned it into a CPU.
After they scanned it in, a bunch of my info popped up in the screen.
Me being me, i imediatly asked where the information was going, and they replyed that the info was sent to the Police Headquaters.
I next asked if all the bars in the city were now using this tech, he replyed not yet, but we hope so soon.

This is the reason why the government will never willingly admit they've been lying.
They'll NEVER admit it. Not voluntarily.
Many folks agree with you on that point.
I didn’t have any forgetfulness about it — I just don’t talk about it very much because nine times out of ten the response I get is snickering and mockery, and I just don’t need that kind of crap.
The only thing I felt while watching it was something like, “wow, this is really creepy!” (after at first dismissing it as a bird or kite, and then the shock of realizing that it was some kind of plane or whatever)
Times 12 lbs = $62,640
1 lb = 453 grams x 12 lbs = $5220.
Precisely.
:(
Sorry 'bout that. Damn this flu! Argh... it just will NOT move on to the next sucker.
Anyway, WRT to meteorites, I've seen prices all over the place, some going for nosebleed pricing for milligrams, so that 62 grand could have been quite a conservative figure. I'll never know, though, and I try not to think about it too much. Basically, it was the keystone (pun intended) for six years of my life that, well... let's just say that when you marry a schizophrenic, your life will be very interesting. (I did not know she'd been diagnosed as such until a few years into the excursion, and before it was over, she was convinced I was a homosexual and a child molester. Why? Because "the voices" told her -- and what possible reason would they have to lie about it? Therefore, my denials were merely lies.) She was a very unhappy person and there wasn't anything I could do about it. After she left me (after dragging my life into a swirl of chaos -- the business was in her name, and she "ran" it -- into the ground -- she didn't pay any bills, just shoved 'em into a file drawer -- not in folders, just tossed the unopened envelopes into the drawer, along with scads of lottery tickets) -- after she left, it all imploded on me, and I had quite a rough go of trying to close things down gracefully. Didn't really have any option, with the way she'd left it. Anyhow, after she left, she married a guy who seemed to be just as nutty as her, if not moreso -- and then she died of cancer. This hit me really hard, and I tried to get the message to her via her relatives that I harbored no grudge, wanted to visit to pray for her, but that just freaked her out even more -- they (she and nut-husband) were convinced that I was spending my life 24/7 plotting against them and so forth. For all I know she may very well have thought that I caused the cancer. I wouldn't put it past "the voices" to tell her that. So, when I made that offer, it was not very well received, to put it mildly. When I got word that she'd died, it tore me up real bad. Life can be difficult.
But, I digress -- and when I consider the probability that nut-husband tossed "that stupid old rock" into a ditch... ah, well. Gotta maintain a sense of humor. Or something.
Gleanings from the Vol 22 #12 issue 41 of UFO MAGAZINE DEC 2007
A CONVERSATION with William J Birnes pp 32-43
NICK POPE 21 years at MOD UFO archive dept—ended up in charge of it . . .
EXCERPTS:
Clear typos were corrected by Quix Others may have been inserted by Quix. LOL. Quick copying without much time spent on proofing.
You listen to a pilot tell his story of firing sixty-five 30-calilber machine-gun rounds into a flying object he has never seen before, clearly under intelligent control, that simply absorbs the rounds with no apparent damage. You listen to another pilot describe how a beam of unknown origin locks up the weapons control panel on his F-4 Phantom and then releases it when the pilot breaks off the attack.
Pope explained that the Ministrys UFO project has been ongoing since 1950 and covers over ten thousand sightings. Although, he concedes, most people believe that it would have been simple just to have released the entire file into the public record, that was not possible because the MoD must first delete personal details of witnesses and redact classified information such as technical data on weapons and surveillance systems. One cant, he says, really release all information without first scrubbing the classified data.
Rodrigo Bravo Garrido: In 2000 the crew of a Chilean plane from the Aviation branch of the Army, flying south of Santiago, observed a long cigar-shaped object, a brilliant gray. It flew parallel to the right side of the aircraft for two minutes and then disappeared at a very high speed.
Anthony Choy: The evidence we have from actual UFO cases and incidents that have taken place in our country show that the UFO phenomenon remains one of the greatest challenges to our current knowledge of science and technology.
THE NATO SHAPE DOCUMENTS AND ROBERT DEAN:
[p37]
In 1964 then-U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Robert O. Dean saw a document at NATOs Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe called The Assessment, which eh said described NATOS study of the implications of an extraterrestrial presence on earth. . . .
Pope argues that RAF Bentwaters is no less than Englands Roswell and probably more probative about the existence of UFOs than the American Roswell because the case is more recent, is better documented, and has more living witnesses.
Even though the Walter Haut 2002 affidavit just released to the public in 2007 seems to have firmly cast aside any doubts about the reality of the UFO incident at Roswell, the Bentwaters case is supported not only by on-the-scene documentation by former U.S. Air Force sergeant Jim Penniston, who has spoken openly of having touched the strange object, but also a running on-the-scene audio commentary recorded on a pocket tape recorder by former deputy base commander Colonel Charles Halt. Halt has also publicly displayed at a number of conferences a plaster cast of the indentation the craft made in dense sand at Rendlesham Forest on the night it landed.
Jim Penniston was a witness to that landing and had diagramed the indentation pattern as well as the hieroglyphic-type lettering on the side of the object. Halt has maintained that the plaster cast of the strut is very interesting, not just because the landing strut seems to be very conventional; it also indicates that the obect was very heavy and made a deep indentation in the hard ground.
CLAUDE POHER: The occupants were seen floating in the air while entering the craft, from its top, in a hurry.
The Cosford Incident
The Cosford incident took place in March 1993, exactly the same night when in Belgium the Air Force scrambled F-16s to intercept huge black flying triangles. For its own part, the MoD received sixty reports of at least on and possibly more UFOs that flew over to Cosford that night, and RAF Shawbury reported a description called in by an observer of a large flying triangle. Other military observers later said they saw a slow-moving object when then accelerated very rapidly, more rapidly than any existing Air Force jet.
Heres an incident, Pope says, that indicates this was not an ordinary conventional aircraft. When an Air Force witness describes something like this, one realizes this is not a system we have in our arsenal. Moreover, Pope says, if the RAF had such aircraft, floating over an Air Force base and other civilian populations isnt the way they would test them. He knows the RAF has no weapons like this because had there been such weapons systems in the RAF, he believes he would have been told to back off the investigation so as not to compromise security issues. Because he received no such instructions, he believes this was not a black project.
##
Jean-Charles Duboc: The apparent diameter of this object could be ompaed to the diameter of the moon or the sun. That means that it was about 1,000 feet wide.
More to follow if and when I get around to it.
Blessings,

UFO PING LIST PING FOR ADMINISTRATIVE DISCUSSION . . .
THOUGH THIS VIDEO OF THE NOV 2007 NATIONAL PRESS CLUB CONFERENCE ON THE UFO TOPIC IS WELL WORTH VIEWING:
http://realufos.blogspot.com/2007/12/complete-video-of-national-press-club.html
Las Vegas Dave FREEPMAILED me with a suggestion to ping the list more often.
Yet, recently one or two asked off the list due to frequent pings.
I would appreciate more dialogue and at least an occasional clue-in as to whether things like the ATS gleanings are of interest.
When I post and there are no responses, it allows the NAYSYERS an easier time claiming it’s all just
MORE OF THAT CRAZY QUIX NONSENSE that’s of no interest to anyone.
I think we do ourselves a service as well as folks on the fence and even some others . . . to keep the topic in the public arena. All the more so as the PTB (Powers That Be) seem to be ramping sightings etc. up at an increasing pace.
I’m wondering if we could have some way to help insure at least a respectable level of dialogue about the better postings. Not per se every post—but the more substantive, better ones.
Perhaps we could have volunteers—say 5-15 voluntters for each month of the year . . . and those volunteers would be willing to check in on such threads at least once a week during their month and at least post a few times about the substantive threads and posts.
But I’m quite open to any other ideas . . . I am just convinced that the topic is worth it . . . and it’s worth keeping folks at large aware of such goings on regardless of whether they still think it’s nonsense, or not.
At some point, they’ll be more than glad someone cared that much.
What say you?
I appreciate your pings, Quix, and I’d have no problem with increased frequency as events merit. I may not reply to them due to my schedule and lot in life, but I read every one of them. We have our detractors, (mind you, I’m a master of understatement) but they should not direct our actions.
I’d welcome an increase in pings when events change. It’s very interesting, and I don’t have time to keep up with unfolding events by myself.
Thanks for all you do.
