Duncan Hunter: Romney is a NO GO [Bane Capital security problem/real disservice to Americans]
FOX NEWS ^ | 1/21/2008 | Duncan Hunter

Posted on 01/23/2008 9:09:46 PM PST by FreedomProtector

Duncan Hunter: His [Mitt Romney] company Bane Capital, is partnering with a Chinese company, a Chinese defense contractor, called the Wah-Way corporation, which helped Saddam Hussein set up his air defenses against American pilots, and Bane Capital is partnering with that outlawed Chinese defense contractor to buy an American defense contractor. You may know about that proposed deal, it's right now before the commitee on foreign investment...

Duncan Hunter: I think its a security problem, and I think it is a real disservice to the two and a half million Americans. I think Mitt Romney is a no go for that reason alone.....I like Mike Huckabee's integrity, I stood next to him in a lot of debates...

Um, Romney has no connection to this deal. IIRC, his connections to Bain ended 10 years ago. Sorry Charlie.

I thought that Romney had headed Bain Capital and not Bane Capital.

Oh, now I get it. Duncan Hunter is going to do Huckabee’s dirty work for him. This stinks! What a bunch of losers.

And there we have why Hunter went with Huckabee. McCain was out because of amnesty. Giuliani out as an abortionist. And Romney disqualified for this.

Huckabee was the lesser evil.

I have a lot of respect for Hunter, but after his Huckabee endorsement, I have to wonder if he’s not feeling well.

How the hell do we end up with a list of candidates which don’t even come close to representing the majority of the people in this country? Forget a majority, how about “any” of them.

You know what’s worse? If one of these republicans wins, the party will have learned nothing and the next few crops of candidates will be just like this one. Welcome to my nightmare.

You’re kidding, right ?

That’s like agreeing with Democrats that Cheney is the spawn of Hell for having ran Halliburton. Mitt’s not been running that hedge fund for quite some time now.

Huckabee’s a theocratic nanny stater tax-n-spend liberal doofus. Mitt’s a successful, highly capable and intelligent capitalist - flaws included, but we never get exactly what we want.

Hunter was my first choice. I was even going to write him in for president. No more. The man isn’t who I thought he was and I’m glad he’s out of the race.
Guess it’s back to writing in Thompson’s name. :D

Jeepers. After just about begging Hunter to say who he endorsed, as soon as he said Romney was a no go, Cavuto couldn't end the interview fast enough.

Duncan Hunter, clueless as usual.. Got his facts twisted up in his panties.

This guy is just a loser who needs to get lost.

Hunter’s endorsement for Huckabee moved me off of not voting in the primary to a realization that as much as I distrust all five, Huckabee would more likely be right on judges. I cannot pull the lever for the others... even Romney has too much 2003 - 2005 baggage.

“Huckabee was the lesser evil.”

Yep.
We have to vote for one of the Rep’s. Sitting out gives the Dems our vote.
The next step though, is to be active in our local party to help get more attractive alternatives next time.
