Yes,

And how do we know they are citizens?

Oh, I forgot, it doesn’t really matter for Democrats whether their voters are citizens or even alive.

And, will the ballots of these so-called ex-patriots be counted AFTER the ballots of our brave soldiers serving overseas?

I sincerely doubt it.

Sounds like a legal challenge on votes (Republican) being excluded?

“They must promise not to vote twice for president, but can still participate in non-presidential local elections.”

They oppose electronic balloting IN the states but fully support it overseas. Right.

There are a lot of so called dual citizens who vote in two nations’ elections.

Yes, I know someone who votes in two nations, and has both a US passport and a passport from the nation of her birth.

However, to vote in her native country, she must go to the nearest consulate of that country and present her native passport.

How many of these “expatriates” will be required to show their US passports at the nearest US consulate before voting?

Since they’re voting over the internet, my guess is ZERO.

It would be nice if they were required to enter their Passport Number and have that checked against their name and birthdate.

But the likelihood of that happening is also ZERO.

I submit that the purported “expatriate” vote will be overwhelmingly Democrat.

Unlike that of the Armed forces, which is overwhelmingly Republican.

"And it does allow access to folks who ordinarily wouldn't get to participate."

Yea, we know.

I think when you move abroad, you should forgo any voting rights and leave it to the Americans at home.

While I was living oversees, never voted as I felt it was not my place as I did not know the issues enough and they would not impact me until my decision to return.

How about if you don’t live in this country, you can’t participate in its elections?

Sheesh, with pets, dead people and the demented elderly bussed across state lines to vote twice, they’ll surely not lose by a margin of 51-49% THIS time around!

There are people who work abroad but are still US citizens and even pay US taxes.

But I see no loyalty is someone who votes for leaders in two nations (just as I opposed Katrina refuges in Houston voting in both the New Orleans and Houston mayoral elections).

Add to that an absolute resistence to electronic voting IN America and support for INTERNET voting (which is even MORE open to hackers).

I NEVER want to see “online” voting.
