I’m expecting Duncan to give a much clearer accounting of his reasons and he obviously has spoken to Huck and I’m willing to hear him out.

I suspect Hunter likes the fact that Huck is the most reliably pro-gun, pro-life, and pro-fair trade candidate remaining in the field. These are issues Huckabee hasn't flipped flopped on, and they're big issues.

Now to the meat of the problem. We all know the Huckster has flip-flopped on illegal immigration -- did almost a complete 180, in fact. So the question is, does Hunter believe his change of position was genuine? Hard to say for sure, but one thing is certain -- none of the other candidates have proven themselves reliable on the illegal immigration issue either.

I'm inclined to give Hunter the benefit of the doubt here.
