The courts have ruled that the same rules apply to it as to anywhere else so there isn’t a lot of reason other than pride to keep it open as opposed to relocating detainees to other less public locations.

Sorry but it is rather naive to believe relocating detainees to other locations will make a difference. It wont-just create a new slogan. For the Dems anything short placing these prisoners on US soil and into the US Justice system is an "injustice" Wake up!

I agree with your statement, but I must say I’m deeply disappointed. Now I find it hard to support ANY of those still running after going to all the extra effort to re-register just to be able to vote for “the lessor of evils” just to find out that Hunter has used extremely bad judgement in my opinion!!!

The mainstream media and leftists hate his guts.

Are you kidding?

The bulk of the mainstream media gave more free promotion, more leeway, and more wide-eyed atta-boys to Mike Huckabee the past two months than any other candidate in history.

Yes, conservative talk show hosts and most all Republican powers-that-be were adamantly opposed to Huckabee -- for good reason.

But the MSM bends over backwards to ignore, and NOT report any good news about Mitt Romney -- considering the fact that Romney leads in total votes, leads in delegates, and leads in the number of states won outright.

The MSM keeps tries to put fear and trepidation into the Romney campaign in hopes of forcing him to quit.

But Romney just keeps on winning.

Here is the list (again) of Romney supporters or endorsers: Tom Tancredo, National Review, Ann Coulter, Bob Jones III, Hugh Hewitt, Laura Ingraham, Judge Robert Bork, Sen. Jim DeMint, Charles Krauthammer, Jeb Bush, Rush Limbaugh, etc etc etc.

We don't have to leave. The GOP left us....high and dry. :-(

So: Hunter’s minutely small number of supporters could throw their support to The Huckster. Yawn...............

So he's encouraging both of his supporters to vote for the Christian Socialist, pro life Democrat Huckster?

“Hunter is strongly pro-life and Huckabee is also strongly pro-life. Hunter is very worried about China - Huckabee is the only remaining candidate who seems to share any of his concerns about China. Also, while Huckabee has a horrible record on immigration he has adopted a platform on immigration with many similarities to Duncan Hunters. So, he is as believable on immigration as Romney is on abortion. Huckabee and Hunter also share a passion for protecting the second amendment. It is for these reasons that I am sure that Hunter endorsed Huckabee. Obviously Huckabee is not a perfect choice but given the options it was about as good of one as he could have made. I knew he wouldn’t endorse Romney due to Bain capital and its dealings with China and there was no way that he was going to endorse Mr. Amnesty or the pro-abortion Giuliani.”

FINALLY, a sane voice in a loud crowd of nutters. Folks, a great many of you have been singing Hunter’s praises for a long time now about how he was the MOST conservative candidate in the field. NOW when he tells you that based upon his FIRST HAND dealings with Huckabee he thinks Huckabee is the best choice, you go ballistic and curse him? MAYBE he knows something you don’t...and don’t want to know because you might have to eat some crow?

Wake up folks. Romney is NOT a conservative at all - he bends with the wind. All Romney has going for him is nice teeth, a nice hairdo, money, and mormon connections. The man isn’t fit, politically speaking, to lead a proverbally horse to water. He isn’t competent enough to pour pee out of a boot with instructions written on the heel. He has no business being considered for high office.

Folks, you had better take a most closer look a Huckabee; especially if you are seriously pro-life, against the homosexual agenda, and for protecting the 2nd Ammendment. Huckabee is only going to appoint originalists to the supreme court. He is NOT a Jimmy Carter, and if you think that you are just a plain damnable fool.

For once, listen to someone (Hunter) you all said was the best conservative out there.

I realize I have just wasted time, but it had to be said.

I know you are too smart to vote for Ron Paul. Ron Paul will put all of us and our loved ones in danger for surrendering the WOT. I will no vote for Huckabee or Paul under any circumstances. Romney is getting my vote.

Bringing in this many 3rd world illegals would not only destroy the United States economically but culturally and in every way possible.

Thank you!!! Why can't some of these strictly "social/cultural conservatives" realise that illegal immigration is one of their biggest concerns of all??? Allowing in floods of illegal, or even legal, immigrants with no intention of assmilating will produce the most profound negative cultural change of all, affecting almost every single other social/cultural issue! Especially, as is likely, the socialist 'Rat party gets hold of them through their shameless pandering and wealth redistribution!

“My only conclusion is that he has no idea about Huck’s record.”

A. This has GOT to be like a swift kick in the ba**s for ya, and truly, you have my sympathy (hoping for the same should Fred endorse Lettuce Boy)

B. Don’t you think that as a former candidate in this race Hunter OUGHT TO know about a mans’ record especially prior to endorsing him?

Ron Paul reminds me of Will Ferrel’s character on SNL, Harry Carry.

What incoherent embarrassment that man is.

Heh ... don't think you'll have to worry about that.

But I do think this is so funny ... not funny-ha-ha, but funny ironic. The way we have canonized Duncan around here, and villainized Huck ... this is sort of like the Pope endorsing the Devil!

I'll be voting for Romney now. He is my third choice so I certainly would not have supported him over Hunter or Thomspon. However, I will support him in the primaries over McCain, Huckabee, or Guliani. I will also certainly support him over any of the DNC and feel that he can beat any of those three horses in the race.

I believe of the remaining candidates in the GOP, and certainly of those in the DNC, that Romney will buy us the most time, and that in certain areas he will actually do some good. He may well surprise us in other areas if his turn on those issues turns out to be sincere...and I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt based on his account of the change, as opposed to trusting the others.

God preserve our Republic in these troubling times...and give us the wisdom to choose the path that will help in that endeavor.

Hunter is a corrupt career politician and I am glad I can finally say it here on FR.

Tell us O wise one, who is the purest politician of them all?

Who will get your precious vote?
