s it Bigfoot? A Tusken Raider from the first "Star Wars" movie? Or just a rock?
British newspapers went crazy Wednesday morning about an image from Mars that appears to show a humanoid figure descending a shallow hillside.
The "alien" is actually a blurry detail in a huge panoramic photograph snapped on the edge of Mars' Gusev crater by NASA's Spirit rover in early November, and posted on NASA's Web site on Jan. 2.

Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-Mars) has yet to weigh in on the discovery of this potential constituent.

If it's truly only 3-inches tall, it could be my Tusken Raider vintage Star Wars figure I lost back in 1979!

LOL! That's the first picture I thought of.
Except that the Martian must have some extraordinary sense of balance -- "his" right arm and leg are forward at the same time.

Based on the latest photo they released...I’d be guessing at least a 300 foot distance between the rover and this “rock”. Its hard to find other “dark” objects with the long-distance shot provided...this “rock” is almost the only one that dark in the big picture.

The Old Man of the Mountain did not fall in 2003 in NH. It left the planet to return to Mars, it’s observation mission complete.

Yes, that one definitely matches up better.
To: PBRSTREETGANG
Match up hell! That’s him!
All the global oil drilling and condo production in greenbelt areas forced this endangered species to head to Mars. Don’t know how his paws were able to work the controls, though...
