Nearly 1400 years ago, a group of nomads from across the scorching Arabian Desert conquered Iran (Persia), the greatest empire known to the history of mankind. With that, they injected their Islamic virus into the veins of their victim: the Iranian people.

Isn’t it time for the Iranians, in a show of solidarity, to stand shoulder to shoulder with the civilized free people of the world to defeat this virulent disease of Islam? In most other lands conquered by Islam, the conquered peoples have lost their identity and heritage and embraced the ways of their new rulers, under an “Arab” identity.

The US should support the forces for revolution inside Iran, but the US record of supporting and staying the course with internal dissidents has not been encouraging and many were killed in Iraq after the US encouraged an uprising in the South and then did not provided the needed help.

There are actually a lot of Persians inside and outside of Iran who see Islam as alien and purely Arab beliefs. Unfortunately they don’t have any oil fields and they got choppped up when they’re found.

When you are repressed by a tyrannical regime you sometimes have no choice. As in Iraq, if the people would open their eyes....and some are, to the point that all we want is to establish stability there so we can leave. The only reason we have stuck around is because of the influx of terrorist thinking with Saddam gone, the country is ripe for their Extremist ways to flourish. As soon as the good people of Iran see that this Islamic way of life is doing nothing but draining their society, only then will there be room for change. The Iraqi’s are starting to see it....let’s just hope it catches on.

Of course, his words are true, but this man is dreaming. Can anyone imagine the world shaking reactions there would be if Iran shed the mullahs & islam?

Iran is right in the middle of the islamic world. Its immediate neighbors contain some of the most fanatic muslims. Bin Laden & his ilk would shake with rage. It would make Israel an immediate “second fiddle”. A whole country of apostates - whoa - get the popcorn poppin’. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of people.

I have a lot of Iranian friends here in Northern Virginia, most from Iran or 2nd generation. Most all of them have abandoned Islam...I know one who won’t eat pork (beer is something else all together though).

The “greatest empire” in history wasn’t Persia. In size, it would be the Mongol Empire. For scientific and cultural achievements, it would be the Chinese. For impact on humanity, it would be Rome.
