Alan Keyes launches Texas swing
January 22, 2008
On Tuesday, presidential candidate Alan Keyes began a six-week grassroots tour of Texas, originally his home state. Keyes is a 1968 graduate of Cole High School in San Antonio.
Although Keyes will make excursions outside Texas as needed, and will continue his nationwide radio blitz to counter the media's virtual blackout of his campaign, he plans to camp out in Texas until its primary on March 4. As most pundits agree, if Super Tuesday fails to produce a "presumptive" Republican nominee, Texas becomes all the more important as the last big prize of the primaries.

I thought Keyes was from Maryland. Or was that Illinois? At this point, I don’t remember and don’t much care.

Alan Keyes would be a better President than anybody currently running.

If he wins the nomination, he can run with Katherine Harris as his running mate.
To: CounterCounterCulture
Shhh. The media is pretending only one of the parties has a black candidate running.

And we are supposed to settle for the RINO policies of Huck, Rudy, McCain, or Mitt now that Hunter/Thompson left the building.

Is this the same Alan Keyes who is a resident of Illinois who defeated that upstart state senator for the US Senate? Or is it the Alan Keyes who called Cheney’s daughter immoral because she is gay, but doesn’t mind that his own daughter is gay?

Clarence Gatemouth Brown was playing Texas Swing long before Willie was on the scene.

Yeah, Ol’ Gatemouth. I got some of his tunes on Alligator Records. I figured no one around here would know of him.

Well don't forget one of the originators of Texas swing Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys..... It for sure isn't any Texas swing that Keyes may attempt....

Sadly he passed away a few years ago of cancer (as I understand it he refused to go for treatment). But he could play the blues, jump blues, jazz, cajun, country, and Texas swing; guitar and fiddle.
I got to see him a number of times in his final decade.
