This is the best treasure trove of Mitt Romney record, issues positions, quotes, etc. right here on FR:

On Judges:

Governor Romney: “I think the justices that President Bush has appointed are exactly spot-on. I think Justice Roberts and Justice Alito are exactly the kind of justices America needs. They’re people who believe that the Constitution is what they’re to follow, not what they’re to depart from; people who do not believe that legislation from the bench is the responsibility or authority of being on the bench. I respect legal scholars of all backgrounds, but those who are going to be on the bench, if I were lucky enough to appoint them, would be people who believe their job is to follow the law and follow the Constitution.”
(Robert B. Bluey, “Romney on Judges: Follow Bush’s Lead,” RedState Blog, 2/02/2007)

Governor Romney: “There’s a lot more to being pro-life beyond appointing conservative justices. That, I will do. I like (Supreme Court Chief Justice John) Roberts and (Justice Samuel) Alito, I like (Justice Clarence) Thomas and (Justice Antonin) Scalia. I like that kind of thinking on the bench, and that’s the kind of justice I will appoint. You also have decisions as an administration on things like abstinence education, on the morning-after pill, on teaching kids to wait before they have babies, on insisting on parental responsibility for a father who has an out-of-wedlock child. These policies are also important, and will become a major part of my effort to encourage a culture of life rather than the culture of death.”
(Jonathan Martin, “Romney jabs Giuliani on abortion,” Politico.com, 4/25/2007)

Governor Romney: “As President, I intend to nominate judges who respect the separation of powers, are committed to judicial restraint, and have a genuine appreciation of the text, structure, and history of our Constitution. The judges I nominate will recognize, as I do, that as Justice Scalia once said, the Court ought not take the field as some kind of ‘junior-varsity Congress.’ That would wrongly displace the first-string legislature, drawn from our deepest pool of talent – ‘we, the people.’”
(Romney for President, “Governor Mitt Romney On The Beginning Of The U.S. Supreme Court Term,” Press Release, 10/01/2007)

Hmmm... he said all that stuff when he was running for the GOP nomination.

Now, perhaps you would be so kind as to post the comments from the Romney Administration when they were entralled with judicial diversity. You know, the mindset that got soft-on-crooks judges appointed to the Massachussetts bench.
