I’d much rather ask God to keep a man faithful to his promise, than ask God to make a man break his vows.

Just exactly what VOWS are you talking about??

Sorry, kind of an odd word to use, I admit. I consider campaign platforms to be promises, “vows” that the candidate takes as to what they will do as President.

If I vote for someone who promises to take actions I oppose, I either have to resolve to oppose the person I just elected, or pray that they will break their vows.

I’d rather vote for a candidate who promises to do what I want, than one who promises to do what I don’t want.
