I agree better to write in Ron Paul then not vote.

Kinda boils down to the “Power of Money”..doesn't it...
The Founding Fathers understood that completely...hence..... ART. 1 sec. 8...”CONGRESS” shall have the POWER..To coin money, regulate the Value thereof...(gold and silver)
That was there so we could hold someone responsible with our vote...Try voting out the Federal Reserve..
Even Greenspan understood that http://www.321gold.com/fed/greenspan/1966.html

Vote Liberal, or we’ll shoot this country.

I’m with the ranter. If ‘solid conservative’ states think hiring a liberal is the answer to liberalism, let’s go with that and maybe we get Reagan.

I think after the stellar job this Congress has done, we may end up picking up seats, but who knows based on the IDIOTS who voted for the Huckster and McCain.

I wonder what will be left at that time...

In some ways, I think the left infiltrated the party, but while they were attacking our flag, they left theirs unguarded; but at the end of the day that may have been their strategy all along.

They get McCain worst case, while we get Shrillary worst case.

Doesn’t seem like a good trade to me at all!

But we’ve also been our own enemy, for instance allowing them to drive the agenda, defining the lexicon...and FOX, and others fell for that trap for years!

I’d have preferred people like Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity hammer home the fact that it’s not ‘pro-war’ or ‘anti-war’ for instance but ‘pro liberation of Iraq’, or ‘anti-terror’, etc.

Same for ‘pro-choice’...how about ‘pro-infanticide’?

And so on...

WAY too much crap going unchallenged put forth by the drive-by media.

I even visited an elderly couple and their dtr about my age didn’t get the jokes about global warming. I pointed out they still have snow on the ground.

And how unseasonally cold it’s been, and made the joke it must be that global warming again.

She laughed but said something like yeah, it’s really affecting the climate!

Rational people are sold lies, that eventually it’s just absorbed subliminally as truth.

Obama asserted the money spent on the Iraq war would have paid for every bridge and every road to be rebuilt...in this whole country!

Yet I’ve not heard ONE person, not Rush, NO ONE challenge that perposterous claim!

No one expects him to be an economic or math professor, but come on!

I honestly think we can be in much worse condition than running Romney.

Better Romney than McCainiac.

I agree. It seems like the size and volume of the, you can call them lies, but its more outsized fantasticisms “The money spent on Iraq could pay to replace all the bad bridges in the US - the cold weather is a sign of global warming - weakness is strength” has never been higher.

I’m reading ‘The Sword and The Shield’ which is a summary of the Mitrokhin Archive - an almost comprehensive history of the KGB. This is the sort of thing the Soviets trucked in - massive lies, outsized fallacy, massive plots that simply weren’t there.

But they elected the candidate most opposite of Fred. That would be the Amnesty-granting, Gang-of-14-leading, Bush tax-cut opposing, 1st Amendment attacking (McCain-Feingold), "Maverick" (RINO) Senator John "Did you know he was a P.O.W. in Vietnam?" McCain.

You do realize that one of our senators is Lindsey Graham, don't you?

They should have known that Fred was the only choice. Period. End of debate.

I find it interesting that you have chosen blame conservatives in three separate states for your candidates loss and to mock them for their choice.

Well, I am one of those South Carolinians that did vote for Thompson. And guess what? I am not mad at the other voters. Why? Because I am mad at Thompson. He entered the race late (he moves at a procrastinating pace) and ran the most ho hum campaign of all the candidates.

I did get to see Fred campaigning over in York. I took this picture of him as he was telling the crowd how he expected them to get the word out.

The only clip you will see from the media about Obama is when he sticks it to the Clintons, or when he’s talking about hope and flowers and uniting Republicans and Democrats. His actual policy statements, the few he bothers to make, are so embarassing that the media immediately sweeps them under the rug to protect their “historic” candidate. Are those quotation marks racist? I’m sure some Obama supporter - and there seem to be a growing number on FreeRepublic as their already huge and insane web presence grows - will say that they are.

FIGHTING LIBERALS BY BECOMING LIBERAL

Hmmm...Seems liberals did a pretty good job of destroying the Republican party by pretending to be conservatives.

>>I saw a comment today that those of us who won’t obediently vote for any given republican aren’t conservatives. How about that, I won’t vote for a liberal so I must be one.<<

Since we are at best gonna get our third choice and we are all compromising its better if we could get away from attacking you or any other fellow Freepers conservatism and just talk about what the best thing to do is.

Obviously I am not speaking of Thompson voters when I speak of the particular state.

But I do blame "Conservatives" in those states for NOT voting for Fred. I also blame the system that allows 3 or 4 states (mostly liberal) to choose who MY candidate options are.

I live in Texas. I did not get to vote for whom I thought would be the best person for the job. Nope, Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina got to essentially vote for the entire nation in the great weeding out process.

Life isn't fair, and I know that. But I wonder if Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Alaska, Idaho and Wyoming had primaries before Iowa and the rest; What would be the outcome?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Ru PAul is the only candidate remaining who has not been hostile to the RKBA.

Actually, no. Everyone else started a year early.

Be careful what you wish for. For decades Iowa and New Hampshire had always thinned out the candidates to two or three before we here in very conservative South Carolina got a chance to vote. I thought that this year was going to be great. Real conservatives would have a chance to choose the candidate. But as you can see, it turned out to be a total embarrassment. And I fear that the outcome would be simular had any other conservative state been in our position instead.
