>> Huckster: Pro-Amnesty <<

Funny, last time I checked, Huckabee vocally OPPOSED the McCain-Kennedy amnesty plan at the time it was announced and throughout its debate. Would you care to cite evidence showing other wise?

>> Pro-Tax <<

He raised taxes in some areas, and cut taxes in others. By your reasoning, Ronald Reagan was a "pro-tax" candidate, as he also raised taxes drastically as Governor.

>> Pro-Spend <<

Wouldn't every politician who ever signed or voting for a spending bill be "pro-spend"?

>> Pro-Retreat <<

You seem to be confusing Huckabee with Ron Paul. Huckabee has consistantly said we are in Iraq to win and must stay there until the job is done. In fact he vigoriously debated Ron Paul on this very point. Can you cite any proof that Huckabee has called for retreat from war?

>> Pro-Style (Anti-Substance) <<

You seem to be confusing Huckabee with Fred Thompson. When asked to name Fred's achivements during his 8 years in the Senate (other than McCain-Feingold), they couldn't think of any, so they resorted to hurling smears at Huckabee instead. Guess it goes to show you that tearing someone else down doesn't help lift your guy up. Huckabee has proven substance by winning three times in an overwheming Democrat state, surging to the head of the pack from being a 2nd tier candidate, and winning a key swing state like Iowa when he was outspend 20-1. He has numerous legislative achivements in Arkansas he can point to, from ridiculing the liberals by coming up with the "Tax Me More" fund (which was wildly popular on FR at the time), to ending the practice of illegal aliens getting drivers licenses through fraudulent means.

Naughty-naughty. Truth squad alert.

Taxes increased a NET $640 million under Huckabee. That'a a far cry from your assertion that:

"He raised taxes in some areas, and cut taxes in others."
