Wrong - they realize that the war should have been won within the six years we've been in there.
Surrendering when the war is 95% won is not a winning strategy. If Americans wanted a surrender monkey, they had ample opportunity to vote for one in 2004.
Yeah, and they almost did too. Remember that if it wasn't for Ohio and the evangelicals, Bush would have lost. That says a lot about the independent vote although obviously re-electing Bush and fighting the war was a no-brainer to me. But staying there for a 100 years like McCain suggested is equally suicidal. You are not going to kill every last terrorist over there regardless how long we stay there. You are misreading the electorate. People want the war to wind down which is why Democrat primary voters are beating GOP voters more than 2-to-1, and why Clinton and Obama both raised $100 million last year.
“People want the war to wind down which is why Democrat primary voters are beating GOP voters more than 2-to-1”
DO NOT buy into that media-driven crap...
The reason the Dems are getting more to show up is that they have THE ROCK STARS, and the media just loves them.
We are not electing ROCK STARS on our side. We are trying to decide who the next PRESIDENT will be.
The war will be brought to YOU. In fact, the war WAS brought to you all the while that Herr Klinton was blowing his sexaphone and taking money from Commies. Remember, the Islamic terrorists view 100 years as just a little wrinkle in time - they must THINK you’ll be there 100 years in any event whether or not you mean to be you must make them true believers that you will. If this country is stupid and vapid enough to remember the days of the limpipid, corroded, erstwhile sex obsessed, abusive Clinton and his enabling harridan wife and still elevate them to the highest office in the land again - then this country richly deserves the Carter style head thumping that it will surely get.
