Nobody has been hit with more lies and distortions than Mitt Romney. Your first link is an example. This has been debunked multiple times. Romney is one of the most decent and honorable men running right now. He’s been a class act, and apparently was a class act today in his response to the Thompson news.

“Mitt is saying whatever it takes to get elected, simple as that.”
McCain is saying whatever it takes to get elected, simple as that. Hillary is saying whatever it takes to get elected, simple as that. Obama is saying whatever it takes to get elected, simple as that. They all are saying things to get elected. Only Romney is the one saying *conservative things*. Yes, he wants our votes and so he is genuinely interested in building a conservative coalition and implementing a conservative agenda.

His speech to the Detroit economic forum was genuine, real, leadership, and I challenge to point out a single thing in there that you consider to be ‘a lie’.

So rather than reashing old debunked hits on Mitt, tell us what is wrong with this ROmney speech:

Please, stop posting Mitt’s campaign site. Merely proves my point for me. And the sites I’ve posted have only been ‘debunked’ by mittbots. Meaningless.

“””Nobody has been hit with more lies and distortions than Mitt Romney.”””

Great post with facts.

So much angst over GOP candidates most of us didn’t expect, select or promote. Men who nevertheless have the courage to face public scrutiny, personal ridicule and outrageous lies to compete for the job from hell. Same kind of patriots as the much maligned President George Bush.

Mitt Romney, a man of decency & integrity - is answering a call to public service - with a talent for oratory that *W* does not possess. Seems like a style over substance asset - but we have seen the price paid by *W* for not presenting policy with robust rhetoric.

We humans are so superficial - but hey - you use what you have. Hellery has Bill - and we thought he was a problem.

So rather than reashing old debunked hits on Mitt, tell us what is wrong with this ROmney speech:

This:

"Detroit can only thrive if Washington is an engaged partner, not a disinterested observer. The plan is going to have to include increases in funding for automotive related research "

This:

""I am not open to a bail out, but I am open to a work out. Washington should not be a benefactor, but it can and must be a partner."

This:

"Now of course we have to tackle the threat of climate change. But we don't call it America warming, we call it global warming"

This:

""Next, and you've heard this before, there is more healthcare cost in an automobile than steel costs. We got healthcare insurance premiums down in my state and we got everyone on track to be insured. We will work to do the same here and for the rest of the nation."

This:

" If we're going to be the world's greatest economic power, we also have to invest in the future. It's time for us to be bold. I will make a five-fold increase – from $4 billion to $20 billion – in our national investment in energy research, fuel technology, materials science, and automotive technology"
