“But as a collective group republicans are lame, voiceless and timid.”
There you go again, grouping every Republican together. Please, stop doing that, it doesnt help our cause to fail to distinguish wheat from chaff.
If a person with the “R” does wrong - name them.
If a person with the “R” label does right - name them.
Blaming the whole Republican party wrongly tags the majority of Republicans who are good conservatives.
*I* am a Republican, and I take it personally that you are calling me “lame” and “timid” - when you really mean a subset of them.
As I said, I could go on all day about what good things we got out of good Republicans.
“As for RINO’s ruining the party, I agree. Now, where does that leave us with the choice of candidates now that Fred is gone? RINO City, USA that’s where.”
Obviously none left is a 100% proven conservative. But I think Mitt Romney is a clear step above John McCain on acceptability to conservatives, especially due to McCain’s anesty bill and continued actions of writing liberal bills with Democrats.
Guess we’ll have to agree to disagree, but I appreciate your responses. Didn’t mean to come across as lumping you personally, but answer this, please.
If most republicans are “good conservatives” why are Fred and Hunter now gone? The problem as I see it is that these days, most people who call themselves republicans aren’t very solid on conservatism.
Conversely, those of us who consider ourselves to be solid conservatives aren’t very solid these days with republicans.
