Carl Cameron says it'll become offical sometime later this week.
Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.
You were watching the History Channel last night too? :-)
I doubt it. McCain and Huck have been bashed far more in the past two weeks than Romney. Visit more threads. :)
Doesn’t it seem odd to atleast one person that both conservative candidates dropped out?
Are you surprised?
Is anybody surprised to hear this? Fred Thompson has got to be the most uncharismatic politicians I’ve ever seen. One time on the campaign trail he actually had to ask the crowd to clap for him!
Good IDEA!!! Am Taking your advice.
Stupid people should be the easiest to persuade.
Stop blaming the voters and start wondering why the candidate your like wasn’t successful at persuading people to vote for him.
“If she does it, you could just put a SUCKS sign next to the Obama sign. ;o)”
First laugh I’ve had all day.
Go back and read #828 again...
Really read what I said this time...
LOL, well I like how you worked in the Romney plug!
:^D
Republicans also failed to lead as a majority for 6 years. They failed to repeal the death tax. They backed down on the shamnesty bill ONLY because the constituents roused from their collective slumber long enough to breath fire down their necks.
Not all republicans are voting right on the WOT, although so far, they’re not letting the democraps soil our reputation entirely. We have the Gang of 14 though, and Buckets Voinovich hanging up John Bolton. We have Orrin Hatch backing down about the duplicity of the Senate Intelligence Memo and looking like a whipped puppy, taking all the blame and giving Rockefeller an easy out. We have John McVain on the senate floor letting Dick Turdbin off the hook for his traitorous comments about our military and cutting short the need for any apology.
We have a republican president who didn’t go after Sandy Bergler’s burglary, among other face-slapping misguidances.
Republicans are spineless and fight their own. I’m not convinced they are all that great....except to look at them next to the party of the criminally insane.
I suppose even career losers and slackers look better at that point.
thanks for the response, btw
Yes and no. It was the smart move on Romney’s part. It demonstrates class and good sportsmanship. AND it beats McCain to the punch. Any statements from anyone hereafter won’t matter.
“So, if it does become Mc(insane) then itll be a choice between two Dems, one who runs on a liberal platform and the other who will anyways...”
This is just as the liberal mainstream media plotted it.
I agree with you that shortly Huckabee will drop. I can’t see him being much of a factor come the big states of Super Tuesday and with no campaign cash to spend on major advertising/workers/ etc.
As to where his supporters will go I really have no idea. Dobson went for Romney and Robertson went for Guiliani if I remember correct.. I honestly have no real feel for how they’d break at this time.
I also think if Guiliani doesn’t win FL he can pack it in and we’ll be left with McCain vs. Romney. McCain is drawing in money based on news I heard somewhere today. Something like $200,000/day and Romney has money to lend his campaign if need be. Also McCain seems to still be doing well in the polls, FL/NY. That has to hurt Guiliani.
Many think this will be a brokered convention. I don’t as I think at some point one of the three, Guiliani, McCain, Romney will break out to secure enough delegates to win.
Politics is a game of expectations, some rise to those expectations while most fall short. Hunter, Tancredo, and Thompson fell short but they tried.
Everyone has been bitchin and moanin since 1988 about the quality of the candidates. A rock ribbed Reaganite jumps in the race, the foremost expert on all things military, the top man against illegal immigration for the last 25 years, the most unapologetic, un PC conservative, with a impressive record of accomplishment to boot, and the conservatives ignore him to death.
Good move. Real good move.
I got the 1,000!!!
Wooo Hoooo
:-)
The mega threads especially last night and today bashing Hunter and certain Mitt folks with out right lies, serial posting is out of hand.
They are not helping their guy if they want to pull in other voters only turning them off.
and should mcnut get a little negativity come his way, we will surely see that about to explode look again! things have been pretty rosy and he has kept his insanity in check.
Hunter did not fall short. So called conservatives did.
