Anyone else notice how this story reads? Almost like it is just another "policy change." I like the caption under his small photo to in the right side column "Hugo tries to see the bright side of his referendum defeat." Like, surreal. I'm waiting for the Hugo chocolate chip cookie recipe to come out. I mean,, he's such a nice guy and all. Too bad about his "referendum defeat" but he sure is such a positive thinker, knows how to turn those lemons into lemon aid!

HEY BBC ,, HE WAS ONLY TRYING TO MAKE HIMSELF DICTATOR FOR LIFE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SEIZE HALF THE PROPERTY IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY AND SHUT DOWN ALL OPPOSITION , OK!!! HE'S A MADMAN, OK!!!!

And how did they get so poor in an oil-rich worker's paradise?

Those Venuzians will be starving within a year or two under Chavez’ leadership.

“Despite our best efforts, and strict government price controls, the supply of food does not keep up with demand. This has confused our economists who were sure that price controls would lead to greater food production. Our next plan, is to put these government economists directly in charge of the farms themselves. We’re showing them pictures of tractors now, as an introductory step ...”

And since Chavez national foreign oil investments in his country, his people are going to hungry as the price of oil will easily be back to the $60 / brl range soon. Typical socialist idiot that doesn’t have a clue as to just how much the world can seriously yank his chain economically.

. . .to nationalise farms, in an effort to tackle food shortages.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. Last I checked there has never been an instance of nationalizing farms that has not caused food shortages.

That ought to do the trick. Perhaps, Chavez can get his agricultural advice from Mugabe.

“But some farmers prefer to sell their produce in neighbouring countries where prices are higher, leading to shortages of bread, milk, eggs and meat. “

So they can stay in business. You dumb mf reporter...

Sounds like a few farmers need to arm themselves and start shooting back.

Heck, for that matter American farmers may well need to do the same with all of the land snatching going on.

Look Chavez, you half-witted pinapple-faced cokehead, if you don’t want your farmers selling overseas raise the price you pay to farmers for what they produce to match the overseas price. If you screw your farmers you will wind up with them producing less and will be forced to import more food, and kill your own food industries instead of growing them.

But that’s too complicated for a dimbulb socialist egomaniac like you to figure out, I realize.

Remember what Juan Carlos told you. "¿Por qué no te callas?" (”Why don’t you shut up?”) Friendly advice to an illiterate, innumerate buffoon like yourself. Learn it, Live it.
