Then that makes his track record in New York City — in which he displayed a pathological hostility to anything that smacked of “original intent” on the Federal level — all that much more disgraceful.

No it doesn’t. As Mayor, he had to choose from among candidates supplied to him by the Democrats.

If you liked Roberts and Alito, and Rudy supported both, you’ll be pleased with his court appointments and the Democrats will not.

Rooty Toot also thinks that Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a good choice and he was not about to oppose any nominees in 2005 that had popular support among conservatives.

“And he [Roberts] fits that category, in the same way Justice Ginsburg fit that category.

I mean, she was — she maybe came at it from a very different political background, very qualified lawyer, very smart person. Lots of Republicans supported her. I expect, and listening to Senator Nelson, I expect that John Roberts will get support from a lot of Democrats.”

“Presidents, going back to the beginning of the republic, generally appoint people on the Supreme Court that they believe agree with them. It’s sort of an extraordinary thing to ask of President Bush. Nobody asked it of President Clinton.”

This means that Rooty Toot plans to appoint pro-abortion justices.

I wasn't even referring to his judicial appointments.

I'm talking specifically about his blatant hostility to at least four of the ten amendments in the Bill of Rights.

How the hell can anyone reconcile his pathological fear of guns -- and his disgraceful attempts to use the Federal court system to impose HIS gun control agenda on other states in which he had absolutely no jurisdiction -- with any notion of "original intent" under our nation's constitution.

That lisping, effeminate little weirdo should stay in New York City where he belongs.
