How the Rockefellers Created Hillary
Richard Poe.com ^ | Monday, January 21, 2008 | Richard Lawrence Poe

PITY THE Rockefellers. Try though they might, they never manage to get a Rockefeller elected president. Governors, senators and even a vice president have borne the Rockefeller name. Yet the presidency eludes them. And so they busy themselves playing kingmaker behind the scenes. Their latest project is Hillary Clinton.

Last Thursday, the public interest group Judicial Watch published a memorandum which the Clinton Library was forced to release under the Freedom of Information Act.

The 24-page memo shines a spotlight on Hillary’s little-known relationship with America’s mightiest oil and banking dynasty. Dated May 26, 1993 and addressed to “Hillary Rodham Clinton”, the memo comes from Senator John D. Rockefeller IV of West Virginia — better known as Jay Rockefeller — whose great-grandfather founded Standard Oil.

The memo lays out a detailed strategy for pushing the “Clinton reform plan” for universal health coverage. In it, Rockefeller snaps orders at Mrs. Clinton in the imperious tones of a man accustomed to obedience.

He instructs Hillary to get tough on critics of the health plan. “Impeach the credibility of opponents”, he writes. Portray them as “perpetrators”, “paid lobbyists” and purveyors of “ideological extremism”. Assign investigators to conduct “opposition research” on them and expose their “lifestyles”. Do not allow them “even one day without scrutiny”.

Regarding the need for a radio and TV advertising campaign, Rockefeller fumes, “Fundraising must begin immediately. I am frankly surprised that I have not been contacted or shown a plan for fundraising and media expenditures.”

Rockefeller plainly viewed Hillary as his subordinate, and the “Clinton reform plan” as his project. And no wonder. The plan we know as Hillarycare was originally Rockefeller’s idea.

“Health care was his major interest”, writes Joshua Green in The Atlantic. “The agony of watching his mother’s lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s had made him a crusader for universal health insurance, and in the years before Bill Clinton was elected he had organized labor and health interests toward that goal.”

Many Democrats urged Jay Rockefeller to run for president in 1992, but he declined and backed the Clintons instead.

On January 25, 1993 — only five days after his inauguration — Bill Clinton appointed Hillary chairman of his National Task Force on Health Care Reform. Prior to that, she had no history as a health care reformer. In order to carry out the assignment, she had to make a crash study, “bearing down and learning the mind-numbing intricacies of the health-care system”, The Atlantic reports.

More importantly, Hillary relied on the guiding hand of Jay Rockefeller, who watched closely over the Task Force. In their book The System, Haynes Johnson and David S. Broder report that Senator Rockefeller was “largely responsible for creating the coalition of pro-reform groups to campaign for passage of the Clinton plan and had opened his mansion in Rock Creek Park… to them for their first strategy meeting.”

Hillary might have been short on health care experience, but she had a long history of carrying water for the Rockefellers, in particular for David Rockefeller, patriarch of the Rockefeller clan, who led Chase Manhattan Bank for 21 years, as president, then chairman and CEO.

In 1989, Hillary had no national profile as a policymaker. She represented corporate clients for a crooked Arkansas law firm. Education reformer Marc Tucker hired Hillary that year as a lobbyist for his National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE).

Tucker dreamed of imposing a Soviet-style school-to-work system on Americans, whereby the government managed every citizen’s life, steering children into career tracks and placing them in jobs after graduation. Rockefeller money funded Tucker’s think tank and David Rockefeller, Jr. — son of the Chase Manhattan chairman — sat on Tucker’s Board.

Eight days after Bill Clinton’s election, Marc Tucker wrote a letter to Hillary Clinton which began: “I still cannot believe you won. But utter delight that you did pervades all the circles in which I move. I met last Wednesday in David Rockefeller’s office with him, [then-Apple Computer CEO] John Sculley, Dave Barram and David Haselkorn. It was a great celebration. Both John and David R. were more expansive than I have ever seen them — literally radiating happiness. My own view and theirs is that this country has seized its last chance.”

Why David Rockefeller would be “radiating happiness” at the Clintons’ ascension to the White House is not clear. However, it is worrisome.

Something fishy is going on with the Clintons and Rockefellers. This election season, Americans need to dig deep and learn their hidden agendas.

Rockafellers are bad news ! The World Gov't, CFR/TC is bad news to the common person. Part of the key why corporate executives support liberal interest. They need to be thrown out of office and out of power.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely !

Well, yes, of course they want power. But what I find really counter intuitive is why people whose ancestors rose from immigrant to billionaire by dint of education, frugality and hard work (which is true of the people I knew), would throw that away in favor of policies that those very ancestors fled in order to find freedom.

One could argue, probably correctly, that capitalists also want power. So do those who champion liberty.

There are all sorts of poor people. Many of the Caucasian, Christian, rural poor are fiercely independent. Many under- educated folks have lots of common sense and know that there is a price to pay for being *given* something. I found, listening to the heirs of power, that they used the idea of the poor and the idea of fairness to gloss themselves in idealism because their real appeal was to the idealistic, young, comfortable, educated middle class.

I have come to the conclusion that there is some sort of familial personality disorder at the root of all this. I spent time with some of these people, knew their children, met their parents and they were not just evil power mongers at any cost. They were, actually, sort of pathetic and vulnerable. People who had everything, including the expectation of leadership, without the first clue as to what to do with it. They could buy positions of leadership through donations/grants, but could not lead, most likely because they have a really imperfect vision of where they are going themselves.

This is not true, IMO, of Soros and Strong and the other top tier manipulators. Those people are manipulating the other billionaires, not just the peons. They are the ones I think you describe perfectly. I believe they also made their own money and rose to wealth through any means possible, at anyone else’s expense, if necessary.

It is like a giant pyramid scheme with the same results. Only the people at the very top and a select few middle managers ever benefit. Everyone else is simply lunch.

Senator Rockefeller also suggested news organizations “are anxious and willing to receive guidance [from the Clinton Administration] on how to time and shape their [news] coverage.”

"But what I find really counter intuitive is why people whose ancestors rose from immigrant to billionaire by dint of education, frugality and hard work (which is true of the people I knew), would throw that away in favor of policies that those very ancestors fled in order to find freedom."

Why is it difficult to understand that the progeny of those who escaped the poverty and servitude of despots to build vast fortunes through hard work would want to become the despots/royalty? They aren't throwing away THEIR freedom, just ours. I wouldn't call it genetic, but more like the dark side of human nature.

"They [Soros et.al.] are the ones I think you describe perfectly. I believe they also made their own money and rose to wealth through any means possible, at anyone else’s expense, if necessary.

I believe there are far more of the Theresa Heinz, Jay Rockefeller, Teddy Kennedy, types involved in this - ones who have obtained vast wealth without having lifted a finger and are not content with spending their $ for their pleasure, but crave power and control over others and are willing to spend their $ to obtain it.

Careful now... This might just be another CONspiracy Theory, ya never know these days.

Personally, I'm not a CONspiracy theorist, but I certainly know how to recognize orchestration when I see it!!! (smirk)

This makes one wonder if the Perot Campaign wasn’t a creation by the Rockefellers and backdoor financed by them and their elite left wingers.

This was so predictable.

The only reason he (Duncan Hunter) hasn't (caught on) is because FReepers and other conservatives are falling for Fred Thompson's fan dance.

And on another thread about Fred Thompson...

Some people don't recognize the globo-RINO swan dive when they see one, even after Bob Dole's stellar performance.

Or Bill Jones in California.

Fred quit less than 48 hours after Hunter dropping out, supposedly because he can't get traction after losing on a KOS-inspired crossover vote in South Carolina. Yeah right, and CFR membership doesn't mean a thing. /s

And all this talk about a recession in the media doesn't have anything to do with the election either. It's just a coincidence that it takes about six months after a market crash for one to set in.

Gee, would the Clintons ever take advice like that? (snark)

As to why 4th generation billionaires want to turn America into some form of communistic dictatorship of the elite, I really cannot fathom the answer.

As to the scions of American industry, they know they are worthless compared to their forebears and don't want to take any risks with all that lovely money. Fascism provides reliably predictable return while concentrating power in the cheapest politicians money can buy.

For the super European elite the stakes are higher. I suggest "To Eliminate the Opiate," by Rabbi Marvin S. Antelman.

What a crock. Here's a woman whose husband could have bought the hospital and all the doctors in it, and Jay suddenly has this epiphany about universal health insurance? It's funny how when rich liberals show compassion for the little people, it's always with other people's money.

Not as far-fetched as first meets the eye.

Winthrop Rockefeller, brother of Nelson, David, Laurance and John D. III was once Governor of Arkansas (1967-1971). His son, Winthrop Paul Rockefeller was later Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas.

Bill Clinton’s mentor, William J. Fullbright, and Winthrop Rockefeller had strong ties to the Dixie Mafia, centered, in Hot Springs, home of the boy wonder, Slick Willie.

They saw to it that Slick went to top schools, and then to Oxford, where he never attended classes, never received any degree or certificate, but did wander around mostly Communist Eastern Europe with seemingly unlimited funds, being received in the highest government circles.

Enter Hillary, and the rest is history.
