Fred Thompson is noticably absent from the campaign trail this week.
After finishing third in the South Carolina primary over the weekend... Many wonder if he may drop out of the race before Tennessee and Georgia vote.
But Tennessee Republican Party Chairwoman Robin Smith says his Carolina finish still gives Thompson prominence, and he shouldn't be ruled out just yet.
Smith says, "I think people are starting to ask the question, 'Is he a viable candidate?' I think that's the big question, and we'll have to wait for a couple more days I'm sure."
Smith says the deciding factor will likely come down to how much money the Thompson campaign can raise for a last minute push in Florida.

I see no reason for Fred to get out before Super Tuesday, if then.
If you wish to donate to Fred's campaign to keep him going, please use my fundraising number 52006. Thank you.

If FT could raise over 1.7 millions dollars in a single day as Dr Ron Paul is doing right now he might have a chance. How is that fundraising going?

All Fred has to do is stay in and don’t give up, stay in and out last Huck, Rudy, and John.

FDT can’t call George Soros and ask him to write a check. Ron Paul can.

Why would Fred stay in if he has no intention of competing in Florida? If he does not even compete in Florida he cannot win the nomination.
If he stays in it is to help and or hurt somebody else, not to try to be POTUS.

If FT could raise over 1.7 millions dollars in a single day as Dr Ron Paul is doing right now he might have a chance. And on the other hand, if Dr. Ron wasn't a wagon load of boards short of a barn, he might have a chance, too.

FDT cant call George Soros and ask him to write a check. ROFL. You guys, honestly are in serious denial. It's too bad that this is turning into a Paul-bashing thread, and the original poster just asked a simple question.

Why would Fred stay in if he has no intention of competing in Florida? Didn't you know? Fred skips any primary where he might have some tough sledding. He places a distant 3rd in the others.
