It was obvious he was not going to finish in the top two in South Carolina, and that he would drop out as a result. Time for Plan B, FReadheads.

I respectfully suggest, again, Romney is the best alternative.

Well, we don't know what his announcement is, just yet.

And while I might be kidding myself, I am gonna spend the rest of the day and night praying to God that he gets our emails and gets our messages of support and comes in tomorrow to state that he is skipping FL due to his mom's health and we can count on him to pick it up right after.

< fingers crossed >

It is the vaunted GOP base that have nominated the two biggest liberal and media arse kissers.

McCain and Huck.

What's to learn?

“Don’t spread false rumors.”

Turn on FNC.

Cameron will likely say it a 3rd time.

He’s a little twit but he does have his ear to the ground.

“Naturally, the next questions are: where do his votes go, and will his likely endorsement of McCain make a difference?”

Romney.

The most conservative candidate left standing is Romney. The Thompson voters that are left are hardcore conservatives so I guess they will go to Romney, regardless of who Fred endorses, since McCain has being surviving purely because of the independent vote and Giuliani won’t win social conservatives.

No thank you. I like my coffee black and my liberals Democrat. I wont be voting Republican this election.

Still don’t see a working link to this.

I hope Fred suspends his campaign and remains open to the possibility of being a consensus choice in a brokered convention. He is really the only guy who could appeal to all factions of the party.

I’m not hanging ‘em up until I hear Fred’s announcement tomorrow. We just don’t know how his mother is doing, and I haven’t given up hope yet.

But I’m with you, if it comes down to the other candidates there’s at least the upside that I can tune out most of the election and save the time I’ve been spending following and involved in it.

Carl Cameron has always been anti-Fred. He’s been hinting at this all day. Heard it on Laura Ingraham this A.Am. Hopefully, this is just wishful thinking on his part.

You make the incorrect assumption that we have to go anywhere. Plus Romney, if you judge him on his record rather than his platform, is the most liberal candidate in the race.

How sad. He was the last conservative left in the race!!!

What a pathetic bunch of choices are left in the race. I guess that we will end up with the liberal dreamworld in this election--two political parties--BOTH TO THE LEFT OF CENTER!!!!

Amazing, absolutely amazing.

I hope like hell this is all an unfounded rumor but if Fredd does drop out Romney’s my guy. I have to believe that his conservative conversions are real and that he’s sincere in his now stated conservative beliefs. The alternatives are simplyto awful to contemplate.

Given the choice, I would pick Rudy, as he at least does not lie about being a liberal.

(But I won’t vote for any of them.)

Well, that’s it.

What that is is an unsubstantiated rumor. This is not the first time I've seen one of those.

Yes, I heard the same things. If this report is in some way incorrect, his campaign has to release a statement ASAP.

However, I don't feel the Fox report is wrong and would like to urge Fred supporters to consider supporting Mitt Romney now.

Mitt was not my first choice but he is the only conservative guy left in the race with a chance to win first the nomination and then the general election.

>I like my coffee black and my liberals Democrat. I wont be voting Republican this election.

What I want to see in a candidate who asks for my support and my vote.

The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life.
- Theodore Roosevelt

I don’t need a candidate who is two degrees above pond scum telling me to vote for him because his opponent is one degree above pond scum.
