Except McCain’s appointees would be just as bad: he’ll be looking for exponents of Humpty-Dumpty jurisprudence (in which words mean exactly what one choses them to mean) to defend his attack on the First Amendment.

Ah, here we go:
Q: How does eSlate handle write-in votes?
A: The voter must first select Write-in, then the voters will see a screen where the alphabet is laid out. The voter then turns the wheel to highlight and presses ENTER for each letter needed to spell out the candidate’s name. To finalize the write-in, the voter turns the wheel to highlight “accept,” and presses the ENTER button. As with any other selection, a voter may change a vote at any time

Delay maybe right, but I’m not so sure he is a conservative either.

If McCain does get the GOP nod, it will be because ‘it’s his time’.
Been there, done that, lost then, too. The year was 1996.
The GOP may suffer from short memory syndrome.

“Rush as all but said the same thing.”
He did, indeed. Basically said he’d be sitting this one out.

Please don’t do that. McCain has little-no friends among conservatives, but there’s no need to post like a DU’er.
Thanks.
There’s too much substantive about McCain to post that shows how liberal he is; there’s no need to get visceral.

I won’t sit this election out. I will go to the polls and vote for everything that is important to me, but while there, I won’t pull the lever for McCain. I honestly believe he will damage the country as much as Hillary will. I’ve been screwed over by dims before, but I’ll not vote for a pubbie to screw me over.

There’s nothing conservative over saying you are going to let Hillary win. HILLARY CLINTON!
Hang out where Ted is? I’m not for Romney so I don’t like people who try to “out liberal” him like he did in the debate against him (Romney’s failed senatorial bid)
To: Halfmanhalfamazing
Good for him. Finally, a national political figure saying what so many of us are thinking.

They were talking about this earlier on CNN and they said they were not buying those threats. That when the time comes even hardcore conservatives will vote for McCain while holding their nose rather than to allow Hillary or Obama to be elected.
It sounds like some people in the party are in denial.

I am a Conservative. If McCain is the nominee. I won’t be voting republican. Now I live in Florida and have been a Fred head, but I may switch to Romney to stop Huckleberry and McCain...but if eventual winner is McCain. Count me out till 2012.
